are you the same anon editor that posted all the alumni? WillC 20:18, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, but now I have registered Washington College as an editor so people representing the Alumni and College Relations Offices of Washington College can update it with interesting information.

Helpful hint....put four tildes after your comments....it will timestamp your name automatically. WillC 19:16, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks!--Washingtoncollege 19:32, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

also, to indent, type colons at the start of your message. by the way, excellent additions to the WC article here. Now the fun is making individual entries for all the people listed! Feel free! WillC 19:43, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, WillC. I want to start a WikiProject page for Washington College. Would you like to be a part of it? I want to invite interested alumni, students, etc., who also are active Wikipedians or are interested in becoming such, to write more, edit more, or contribute more to articles that have to do with Washington College...famous alums and faculty, Chestertown history, the Sophie Kerr Prize, our history and environmental centers, etc. Don't know how to get it started exactly, but wanted to see if you want to participate?Washingtoncollege 13:46, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

sure. WillC 14:08, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Username[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that the username you have chosen, "Washingtoncollege", seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of something other than yourself. Please note that you may not edit on behalf of a company, group, institution, product, or website, and Wikipedia does not allow usernames that are promotional or accounts that are shared. If you are willing to use a personal account, please take a moment to create a new account or request a username change that represents only yourself as an individual. You should also read our Conflict of interest guideline and Plain and simple conflict of interest guide, and remember that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you.Fladrif (talk) 01:21, 12 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

March 2013[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.  You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer instead to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you prefer to change your username rather than create a new account, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you.
