General Assertions w/ References[edit]

  • Father appears to be connected to mechanical tubes that run deep underneath Central headquarters.[1]
  • Father uses alchemy/alkahestry to repair and heal Alphonse and Edward, respectively.[2]
  • Father shows compassion to the Elric brothers, yet shows no initial concern for Lin.[2][3]
  • Father requires little to no physical movement in order to use Alchemy, and is able to somehow nullify the effects and usage of alchemy in a given area.[4][5] However, this doesn't seem to effect those who specialize in Alkahestry (or rentanjutsu).[6][7]
  • Father disregards those who he finds to be useless, sparing his time and energy only to those who may seem useful in some capacity (either as sacrifices[2] or as "resources"[8]).
  • Father creates Homunculi by extracting a portion of the Philosopher's Stone from himself and using it as the core of the man-made humanoid creaturesCite error: There are <ref> tags on this page without content in them (see the help page).. Likewise, all seven Homunculi appearing in the manga all originate from within Father, himself; whichever "sin" he extracts is the name, or seat, the manifested Homunculi will take.[9] Inversely, Father is capable of reabsorbing the Philosopher's Stone from any one of his Homunculi, and recreating said creature as long as some remnant of the Stone is left intact for him to extract.
