Where is the review? If you're reviewing Anne Frank, you made a decent but challenging choice: the article has many editors and readers, and so your review better be well-written, balanced, and insightful; on the other hand, there is plenty of material in there to sink your teeth into. Hi! Congratulations on the new article! The article just needs to be expanded more. Here are some notes on this:

  • This needs a general synopsis section about the poems in the book. Your classmate's article on Fire Songs has a good example of what you could add.
  • This could also use a reception section as well - things like this are good.

A few things. Your link is to a catalog entry--that's really of little use since all the bibliographic information is there--except for page numbers. The book has content available via [Google Books, and at any rate you need a page number. So, look it up, change that URL. And then--this is an edited collection, so what you need to cite besides the book editors and title is the chapter ("essay") and the chapter's author. You can use the "cite book" template for that (but think carefully about the parameters), or you can use Template:Cite encyclopedia. Dr Aaij (talk) 14:48, 26 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Abraham Bishop[edit]

Hi, I saw that the page was moved back to your sandbox. It looks like part of the reason is that the article still has some draft type notes in it, so it needs to be further edited and formatted to finish the page and remove these notes. Right now it's a little jumbled feeling, so it needs to be edited and tweaked to be more streamlined. The other issue is that the article needs more sourcing to help establish notability. Keep in mind that primary sources (things written by Bishop, his alma mater, and any person or organization affiliated with him) cannot establish notability. Also keep in mind that Bishop isn't automatically notable because of his association with Jefferson and Yale, as notability is typically not inherited. Good sourcing would be things like this journal article that was written about him.

Something else I'd recommend would be to list his bibliography section as a list, as this would make the section more straightforward. Also, the titles don't necessarily have to be all capitalized. I've tweaked this section for you.

  • Oh! Something else - the vocations field in the infobox should only be for jobs that he worked. Things like him donating to Yale library shouldn't be in the infobox, but would be fine to mention in the main article. The same goes for owning real estate - unless he was a landlord or realtor, you wouldn't really point this out in the infobox. If he owned a farm or plantation you'd list that he was a farmer or plantation owner in specific. It may sound like splitting hairs, but these are the more common ways that they're referred to.   • No problem! This is honestly an area that I really enjoy researching and editing in, so definitely don't hesitate to reach out for any help. On a side note, if you're interested in Jefferson I would recommend looking into The Papers of Thomas Jefferson. It's a project aimed at collecting all of the writings (public and private) of Thomas Jefferson and providing context for them. This website has some information about the project.   • @Dr Aaij:, Watsherm, I noticed that you have copied from several sources, one of which was an article in the Yale Alumni Magazine and the other from a page on the National Archives website. In the case of the National Archives page, the content you copied was not in the public domain as the notes at the bottom of the article states that the annotations are held under an "all rights reserved" copyright by the Princeton University Press.
I discovered this while looking for a source for the death and legacy section, as I saw that you had closely pararphased and copied directly from the Yale article. I ran the article through Earwig's Copyvio Detector, which brought up the issue with the National Archives page. I can understand where the confusion came about with the National Archives page since much of their work does fall into the public domain, however it's important that you are careful to avoid this.
What this ultimately means is that the specific sections that have copyright issues need to be re-written in your own words. I'll see what I can do in the meantime, but please be more careful about this. I would also like you to re-review the training module on copyright and plagiarism. Ok thank you I will look into and do my best to change. I was kind of confused on how to transcribe the important information about him that I found difficult to reword.
