[edit]

Is there any reason in particular that you deleted information on this page, or was it unintentional? I will be putting it back tomorrow unless you have a good reason why I shouldn't. --sonicKAI 15:35, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

For your information

[edit]

All garage details are not needed. It wastes space you only need to know the area where the garage is in and a full list of buses operated. It dont need to be spread out. For example see the uni-link page and its list of buses. Dont try and ruin that article because i created it. Ive added information to many bus companies articles and i intend for it to be kept or made better. Not sorry ok! the southerner 17:00, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

For YOUR information

[edit]

I had a look at your uni-link. I know better than anyone that you can't do that for operators of London buses. I'm it the process of creating a page for every bus that runs in London. The layout for all of the companies must be the same for the links on them and London's Bus Garages to work fully.

I'm not going to change anything you have done, but I would ask that you look at the revisions I have made to Metroline and tell me why it should look like this.--sonicKAI 11:04, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. You may have added information to many bus companies articles, but I've added more to buses as a whole.--sonicKAI 11:04, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

FOR YOUR EXTRA KNOWLEDGE

[edit]

Garage addresses are not, I reapeat not, neaded. It wastes space and it looks too empty. The area the garage is in is ok. For example: metrobus have one garage located in croydon. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Unisouth (talkcontribs)

LOOKS TOO EMPTY?!

[edit]

You say it looks too empty?! You emptied page after page after page and you say I make it look empty?! --sonicKAI 12:35, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

LOOKS TO EMPTY TO ME... YES

[edit]

Yes because its wasted space. 8/10ths of a page with not a single word. At least i only include information that is needed.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Unisouth (talkcontribs)

There is space that could have been filled

[edit]

Well, luckily Wikipedia is not about you. It's about INFORMATION!!!--sonicKAI 13:58, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

what in ever

[edit]

Certanly it isn't but information is what people come here for. Not a lot of wasted space that needed information can go into.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Unisouth (talkcontribs)

wasted space

[edit]

You talk about wasted space, huh? Out of all the bus company articles I addid information to, how much have you added??? --sonicKAI 15:44, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

a lot

[edit]

there are many, many articles to do with transport that i have editted and created.

london underground 1996 stock 1995 stock jubilee line waterloo and city line uni-link metroline stagecoach first ealing community transport (nearly writ the whole thing myself) london underground uno metrobus

also resizing images adding images adding text to other articles

and much more

how about that.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Unisouth (talkcontribs)

i said BUS COMPANIES

[edit]

You must be so proud(...) Here's what you've been doing:

On Metrobus (bus operator in south-east England) all you added was: "The buses are now being repainted into a new dark and light blue livery first seen on the newest order of scania omnicity buses (yn55)"

On Stagecoach London, Uno (bus company) and First London you cleared out information that I added.

On Metroline you added a picture and "It is the first operator to order adl enviro 400s they ordered 28 for cross-city route 24. "

And I'd also like to say that at NO POINT have I ever deleted anything that you ahve created. People clearly agree that my edits are better that yours, ecause the majority has been reverted. AND NOT BY ME!!!--sonicKAI 16:04, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unisouth has been warned

[edit]

I would just like to thank you for reverting Unisouth's edits on Arriva London and First London. If you could also have a look at these when you get a chance, I would be very grateful:

Once again, thank you. --sonicKAI 15:29, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, firstly I wanted to let you know that I've uploaded higher resolution versions of the logos for London Central and London General, and (having changed the links) deleted your ones. Secondly, regarding your above message, you may like to read my message to Unisouth (who has subsequently blanked his talk page). I am not the best person to review all of the pages you listed, since I have no great knowledge (or interest) in London Buses. As I posted on his talk page, I would agree with him that full address details for each of the garages is not (in my opinion) particularly encyclopedic. However, he removed significantly more than that, and the historical information (provided it is accurate) should definitely remain. It seems you've made some good contributions to Wikipedia, please keep up the good work. That said, I should remind you to remain civil, edits such as this will not help this situation. I would strongly advise you to avoid confrontation with Unisouth over this matter, and to discuss instead, individual articles and edits. UkPaolo/talk 16:12, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Columns

[edit]

Is there any chance you could tell me how to do the columns you did? --sonicKAI 13:12, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The columns are done with simple (to use) templates. I set up a page in my userspace at User:Thryduulf/columns which shows the code and effect in what I think is a very simple way. Let me know how you find it (good or bad - although suggestions for improvement would be useful if bad). Thryduulf 21:13, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Past bus routes

[edit]

Will you eventually cover these or not really? (ob ref to Herts 242 as eg) Simply south 11:32, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I will eventually, but I want to get those on london done first in order to enhance Portal:London. --sonicKAI 12:00, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry if i have been a bit too (word needed for asking too many queries and something something).... Simply south 12:06, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Asking questions is how you find out stuff. Think nothing of it. --sonicKAI 12:10, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

23nd?

[edit]

Is that the 23rd, 22nd or a brand new date they have just added?

:)

Is there any chance you could end this discussion, please? The nominator has withdrawn his nomination. --sonicKAI 10:03, 19 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like someone else has beaten me to it. :P - Best regards, Mailer Diablo 17:06, 19 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Buses at Work Photography

[edit]

Hi Web kai2000,

Have you considered uploading future photos to Wikipedia Commons? This allows for categorization of buses of similiar type/nature, as well as cross-language Wikipedia usage. I'll help you in doing the trans-wiki for the existing images, and if you have any questions let me know on my talkpage. :) - Cheers, Mailer Diablo 11:13, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I can't upload them to Wikimedia Commons because they are not free licence. I was given permission to use them, and the website must be in every article that uses the pictures. --sonicKAI 15:15, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I see. Thanks for the reply! - Best regards, Mailer Diablo 17:35, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use

[edit]

Hi there. Just so you know, you can just use {{subst:orfud}} to tag an orphaned fair use image. Some of your previous tags weren't formatted properly, so they weren't placed in the correct sub category. Cheers! --PS2pcGAMER (talk) 04:44, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Jeeves cocktailsanddreams.gif. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
