Rewrite Trieu Thi Trinh[edit]

I'm going to rewrite Trieu Thi Trinh, an article that you heavily contributed, by using English language source. If you have any source(s) regard to this topic please add it/them into the article. I will removed most of unsourced information.--Amore Mio (talk) 12:45, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The story of Trieu Thi Trinh contains a lot of legends that made it an hot debate within Vietnamese historians. Alot of post-1975 historical books do usually describe the "naked fighting tactic" of Chinese Wu (I though some historians want to provoke readers patriotism) but the books that were published in Saigon before 1975 rarely describe this "naked fighting tactic".

Don't say you are Chinese when you are in an Vietnamese forums or you will get harassed or insulted. There a lot of young Vietnamese who are angry about China because of territorial disputes in South China Sea. This angry make them act in a very uncivil way. It is also the reason why I don't join any Vietnamese language historical forums although I'm a Vietnamese.

If you have any question regard to history of Vietnam, feel free to ask me.

BTW, the speech of Quang Trung is not suitable for the article Trieu Thi Trinh. Emperor Quang Trung was a peasant leader, therefore he was not educated enough to list all VNese heroes and leaders on his speech (for example, he forgot Ngo Quyen). I will rewrite this section by using the book of Taylor and base on your additions.

Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant!
