This article has some very important points that seem to be missing from the leading paragraph. I suggest focusing on including the most important parts of the article, such as the early movements and history of the politics in Seychelles. A strong lead paragraph reinforces the information included in the article. Also, I think some of your grammatical changes are necessary, but try to keep the wording straight to the point.
