March 2011[edit]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abuse of editing privileges, as you did at Swiss Management Center. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Sandstein  18:05, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The block is for edit-warring and for being a single purpose account dedicated to promoting Swiss Management Center, contrary to WP:NPOV and probably WP:COI.  Sandstein  18:07, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Page was edited to add the most current information about Swiss Management Center. Stating the History and the Education programs offered was necessary because of current accreditation of Swiss Management Center, which is programmatic and is limited to the programs listed in the Accreditation section. Not all programs are accredited, thus it was important to mention was is offered by Swiss Management Center to avoid any misleading. I attempted to post on User:Phil Bridger to understand argument behind his revert from the changes made today, and did not sign the post because I am new to wikipedia and simply forgot to do so. 2 Minutes later I understood that I did not sign and went back to sign the post but I was already blocked. The changes made today are not meant in any way to promote Swiss Management Center but rather give a lot more extensive information as compared to what was posted there just yesterday. There was a discussion to delete the page in 2009 and a comment made by User:Phil Bridger: "I don't think that the accrediting body is credible enough for this to have any automatic notability as a university" which today again classified SMC as a promotional page. The result was a Keep decision. Maybe I do not really understand WP:NPOV but how come other Swiss private business schools can post information a lot more extensive as compared to what is posted on SMC, with thorough explanations of how the classes are conducted and a like. Example: International Institute for Management Development, International University in Geneva. If changes to the text are necessary then those will be made, nevertheless fully reverting a page to its original state is questionable. Please consider my request. Thank you

Decline reason:

Request for unblock does not address the reason the block was implemented. From your edits it appears that you're a single purpose account and edits such as this and your unblock request strongly suggest that you have a relationship with the Swiss Management Center. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
