Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username (Wiki watchdog) may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because the name seems to imply that you are in a position of authority on Wikipedia, as seen in your recent edit on Talk:East Jutland metropolitan area. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. Thomas.W (talk) 17:06, 2 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely because its username is a blatant violation of our username policy – it is obviously profane; threatens, attacks or impersonates another person; or suggests that your intention is not to contribute to the encyclopedia (see our blocking and username policies for more information).

We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia, but users are not allowed to edit with inappropriate usernames, and trolling or other disruptive behavior is not tolerated. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I Wish to be unblocked, since I have only been blocked because of an complaint over misuse of my Wiki-name. This name I now want to change, as I have pointed out, if some found the name misleading. I have not been trolling in any way, but rather exhibited a proper behavior in keeping with Wikipedia's rules. I've been watching user Thomas W. who have demonstrated provocative and trolling behavior in the article: East Jutland metropolitan area. I would like to change my name to "Born Again Watchdog" or "Phoenix watchdog" if this is possible. I have always respected the rules on Wikipedia.

Decline reason:

Your statements that this account exists to monitor a specific Wikipedia editor, and that you have 'always respected the rules on Wikipedia,' indicate that you are not a new user. There isn't a need to create a new 'watchdog' account; just use the account you have been using when you respected the rules in the past. A review of this account's edits don't show that it is contributing anything that would make the encyclopedia better, and it would be specifically against the rules to hound another user instead of just making the encyclopedia better anyway. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • The way you were ordering people around on that talk page, after not having participated in any previous discussion, did make it sound like you were dropping in out of nowhere and trying to speak from authority - and that's not the way we do things at Wikipedia. We discuss things respectively - we don't speak to people in such an intimidating tone, and you don't get to tell people what they are and are not allowed to discuss. The block reason, as recorded in your block log does, in fact, also say "and general bad conduct". -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 16:24, 3 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am a new user who has not had other names than this. I do not think I've done anything wrong at all. I'm not trying to take over the administrators job and I am very sorry if I gave anyone that impression. In the future I will contact an administrator if someone is trolling, rather than try to solve it. I really do respect the rules in this forum! I would like to change my name to something that does not offend anyone. Can you help with this? I know I could just create a new account, but I want, with this request, to show my good intentions towards the administrators and other users Wiki watchdog (talk) 17:17, 3 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

As part of our good intentions towards members and visitors to this project, this account name will not be unblocked due to it appearing to be "in charge", and your past attempts to use it as such. Please note that similar future actions using any account will lead to future similar blocks (✉→BWilkins←✎) 23:32, 4 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nothing you've said indicates that you are a new user - you've been watching a particular user, your proposed new user names include "Phoenix" and "Born Again", your statement from the talk page that you "have now for some time been watching this discussion." Please note that users (including myself) do have the ability to search for other accounts you have used in the past. Furthermore, if it is your intention to stalk or harass another editor specifically, you do not have a place here at Wikipedia. Hersfold non-admin(t/a/c) 18:38, 3 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
