Orphaned non-free image File:WhatAmIDoingHereBookCover.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:WhatAmIDoingHereBookCover.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Wikipediatastic! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 945 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Jamie Spencer - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

ViiV[edit]

You're welcome. Dismas|(talk) 10:10, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on ViiV Healthcare requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ukexpat (talk) 14:48, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username (Wikipediatastic) may not meet Wikipedia's username policy. Unambiguous use of a name or URL of a company, group or product as a username is not permitted per WP:ORGNAME. Additionally, use of the term "Wikipedia" may confuse users regarding status and affiliation of the editor with Wikipedia as a whole. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may file for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account and use that for editing. Thank you. Cindamuse (talk) 11:16, 13 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Four bureaucrats on WP:CHU/S thought that the name was fine. You could take it to Wikipedia:Requests for comment/User names if you thought it was actually confusing to users, however. EVula // talk // // 15:57, 14 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Couple of things - I added back the refimprove tag as the article only has 2 third party sources and relies too heavily on the company's website; please use edit summaries. Thanks. – ukexpat (talk) 16:48, 13 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

OK then. Is it a good idea do you think to use more than one reference for the same point? There's an article in the New York Times that makes many of the same points as the FT article I could reference.Wikipediatastic (talk) 17:00, 13 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
