not personal pages

[edit]

Those pages of the people in the "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007" show are notable enough according to the Criteria for musicians and ensembles, Wikipedia states the musican is notable enough if the person "Has won or placed in a major music competition." Perhaps you may not be aware, but the "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa" series is a really big and major music competition in India. Not only this show, but the channel itself from which it airs on, Zee TV, is also a mjor part of Indian media. -Bhavesh.Chauhan 02:14, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

please don't rush to conclusions

[edit]

Oh my God! Why are you doing this? Those are NOT personal pages. These Top 14 contestants ARE significant. I'm not sure if you've read already, but I've replied yet again on the Rimi Dhar discussion page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Rimi_Dhar. I'm quite anrgy at your actions, if a final verdict was not reached the why have you requested deletion of those pages?? A couple of those pages are now deleted. We should have at least first settled the Rimi Dhar article before you put deletion tags on the other articles. - Bhavesh.Chauhan 04:48, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. Please remember to sign your posts with 4 tildes (~~~~). Anyway, I appreciate your reply. Thank you for apologising. I've requested the admin who delted the pages to put them in subpages of my userpage so I can continue working on them until the articles will be notable to be in the Wikipedia mainspace. The articles are now available here on my subpages: [1]. If you want you can help me expand them =D. Thanks again for the apology. - Bhavesh.Chauhan 17:10, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've added back frequent flyer information with slight rewording and removal of all bold text. Thanks, Gnanapiti 18:58, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Great effort on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 response

[edit]

Thanks for the recognition of my work here on Wikipedia. I'm the only one who seems to be bothered to start all these articles about Indian Television. I'm quite happy that other Wikipedians have followed and are contributing to these articles such as yourself, Survir and Meghna.chauhan to name a few. Oh and yes, I have forgiven you. I was just angry yesterday because everything happened all so quickly. Anyway, I have just created WikiProject Indian television, a working group of members dedicated to ensuring that all Indian television related articles are of high quality and accuracy. Please join and show your interest. By the way, are you from India? - Bhavesh.Chauhan 22:51, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

wikiproject

[edit]

Well, even if you can't contribute much to many articles. You can still do jobs like cleanups, adding infoboxes et cetera. Please join because as more people join, then the WikiProject will encourage more people to help contribute to these articles - there are many advantages of more users participating. Thank You - Bhavesh.Chauhan 19:35, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, thank you. Oh by the way, I added flags on the 2nd elimination table on the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 article as you requested yesterday.

Regarding this message, please look into the article history before leaving such messages. While I will Assume good faith here, please look into the history again. I was the one who tagged the article for copyright violation according to policy. The admin who deleted it (ESkog (talk · contribs)) restored two versions of the page for some reason. But in no way I am associated with this article. Thank you, and keep up nominating such non-notable articles but do look into the history carefully before adding such messages to other editor's talk pages. --Ragib 08:52, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Even if Ankita Mishra is not notable, her page cannot be speedily deleted. Speedy deletion of a bio is for an article that does not 'assert' notability. Mishra's article asserts notability. Many users often confuse notability and the assertion of notability. Mishra may not be notable, but in order to have the article deleted, it needs to go to AfD or PROD. Speedy deletion is not for those who fail guidelines for inclusion, such as a discography, which would be found under WP:BAND. the_undertow talk 06:19, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I understand you not wanting the tag at the top of the article. As it is you have provided a reference for one of the least (technically) significant aspects of the article. Leaving the {{unreferenced}} tag on it places it in a category which might bring it to the attention of contributors who specifically go about inserting references, so in my opinion I would leave it there.

The alternative would be for me to put {{unreferenced}} through each section that does not have a reference.

Citations Sa re ga ma pa

[edit]

In a sense your right. I just went back and saw the others sa re ga ma pa's and they aren't so well cited either. 2007 has 4 citations, so in the interests of consistency it shouldnt be required for 2009. I guess one can be more consistent as the show develops. For example citing where the themes, etc come from. Even an offline citations is a-okay, you may have notices these in other articles.

one suggestion though, for the 1 reference on the set you may want to say something about it instead of having a ref for just 1 contestant. Lihaas (talk) 22:54, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'd thought you had removed it already. It good no doubt. But I have a reccomendation Sanjeevini Butti + Mahagurus rules, is there a citation for the rules? Must be on the site for the rules right? If not just cite the show from TV. (there are MLA rules for citation, or you can see some other wikipedia articles for offline citations). But yeah, feel free to remove it when your done.
