Bourdais

[edit]

Hi, please don't add "WD" codes to Bourdais' results table. He is not withdrawn from these races, since he has not been entered for them. Also, the season is still in progress, quite obviously, so don't remove the note. Thanks, Bretonbanquet (talk) 15:18, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. A tag has been placed on Myf1dream.com requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. 99.149.84.135 (talk) 12:21, 9 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why you shouldn't delete it

You shouldn't delete this page because it is about a Formula 1 team that is prospecting to enter the Formula One World Championship. In the same time "my f1 dream.com" is a fan group for F1 viewers and supporters.

MfD nomination of Portal:Google

[edit]

Portal:Google, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Portal:Google and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Portal:Google during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Xenon54 (talk) 21:31, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

helpme

How can I make a categories page ?

First, add the category you want to a create to the page you want to be in the category by adding to the bottom of the page that will be included in that category, replacing "Category name" with the name of the category you're creating. After you save the page, the category will appear on the bottom of the page as a red link. Click on the red link to create the category itself. When you create the new category, you should add a short description of what the category is for, along with some parent categories, on the new page. Before you create a new category, I suggest you read Wikipedia:Categorization, particularly the section Wikipedia:Categorization#What categories should be created. Please let me know if there are any more questions. Thanks! --Mysdaao talk 17:55, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

May I suggest you finish up this Portal as it is still highly incomplete and despite your userfying it as a result of the MfD, you moved it back, but it is still not yet ready for the Portal: namespace. Also, regarding your placement of the WikiProject Google banner on numerous talk pages, could you make an effort to place it below the talkheader, and inside any bannershell templates that should happen to already be in place? (see Talk:Al Gore for an example of what I mean). Thanks. -- œ 06:50, 20 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Category:Acquisitions by Google (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs) for merging into Category:Google acquisitions (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at the discussion page. Thank you. Mysdaao talk 14:16, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Files from Wikimedia Commons

helpme

How can I resize a file from Wikimedia commons? Wild mine (talk) 11:47, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Use the format where nnpx specifies how many pixels wide it will be. The height will be adjusted proportionately. There is also a thumbnail option:

For example:

wiki markup result

Hope this helps -- PhantomSteve (Contact Me, My Contribs) 12:09, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Changing colour

[edit]

helpme I want to change the colour of a portal. How can I do it ?

the page which defines the colour is usually in the location Portal:PORTALNAME/box-header. So, for example, Portal:Literature/box-header. Just edit that page, and pick a colour code from Web colors. Let me know if you need anything else. Regards,  Skomorokh  13:27, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on F1-X Dubai requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Re: Request for Images of the result of Grand Prixs

[edit]

Hi Wild mine, I just uploaded my graphics of qualifying and race results for the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix. You'll find them here: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:2008_Singapore_Grand_Prix . And of course I will upload graphics for 2009 results, too.
