Welcome!

Some cookies to welcome you!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Wilerch! I have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

Warnings

[edit]

It appears you were warned because you appeared to be merely blanking content. I can see that you were attempting to remove a highly inappropriate category, one that represents a serious violation of our BLP policy, so I am removing the other editors warnings. Please do not forget to use an edit summary with all your edits to avoid misunderstandings in future and thanks for your attempts to correct the vandalism. Mfield (talk) 03:19, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I was just about to post something just like this. Your edits were correct, and mfield's removal of the warnings is correct as well. Wizardman 03:20, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
But why did you blank the page 4 times? You did not create the article. Versus22 talk 03:21, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I would like to echo Versus22's comment about blanking the page as well. I am sorry for reverting what I now realize were not vandalism, but I would like to know why you felt the need to blank the entire article at first. Until It Sleeps 03:47, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Wilerch, apologies for these messages. Both the above users have been directed to read Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons#Dealing_with_edits_by_the_subject_of_the_article. If you have any further issues with this page which you cannot resolve yourself, please do not hesitate to contact the Foundation by email at info-en-q@wikimedia.org, and myself or another member of the email response team will deal with the issue for you. Regards, Daniel (talk) 04:03, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your comments, which you added in discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rod Dreher (third nomination). Please note that on Wikipedia, consensus is determined by discussion, not voting, and it is the quality of arguments that counts, not the number of people supporting a position. Consider reading about the deletion policy for a brief overview for the deletion process, and how we decide what to keep and what to delete. We hope you decide to stay and contribute even more. Thank you! Firestorm Talk 04:24, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
