Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my Talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome!

Thank you again for contributing to Wikipedia. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. Yuser31415 03:24, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome![edit]

Feel free to ask me any questions you may have on my talk page. By the way, remember to sign and date your comments with four tildes (~~~~). --AW 16:21, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding edits to Chendo[edit]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, 217.129.67.28! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule img[0-9]+\.imageshack\.us/img[0-9]+/.*\.(jpg|jpeg|gif|png|svg), is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links guidelines for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! Shadowbot 22:00, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and will be removed. Thanks. Shadowbot 22:09, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I'm a real person (named Ken). The above entries are not from a real person; rather, they're from an automated spam-removing program that was written by a real person. The program was concerned about the imageshack links you added to the Chendo article, and actually I am too. The issue with these images is that posting them here may violate someone's copyright. If this is not the case (e.g. if you own the copyright, or the images are in the public domain), please upload them into Wikipedia so that users won't have to go to an external source to get them.
Thanks! -- Ken g6 22:49, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
On a second look, it appears you're not responsible for the images. I'm tracking down whodunnit now, and I'll let the bot's author know when I'm done.
Sorry! -- Ken g6 22:56, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
