I am an AMA member, also new to advocacy, considering taking your case. Would you mind if I asked you a question? Wikipedia's attribution policy has a reliable sources component requiring article content to be sourced in e.g. mainstream media. Rebecca wrote a comment on Talk:Australian Union of Students claiming there are no sources describing this organization except a private website. Would you be so kind as to address this claim by replying on Talk:Australian Union of Students and, if possible, identifying other sources, in on-line or print media, which describe or mention the organization founded in 1993? It might be worthwhile reviewing our reliable sources policy regarding qualifying sources before doing so. It might be worthwhile in any event to attempt to discuss the matter on the article's talk page, Talk:Australian Union of Students. I'm not an identified AMA member; however, I have come across this user's request for assistance. On February 10th, per Greeves' request, Wolfgang Borman replied to Greeve's initial questions at his talk page which can be seen here. However, that was February 10th, and Wolfgang Borman hasn't made an edit contribution since then. Judging from this user's edit history, it would indicate that the user has signed up for an account to further the agenda of Australian Union of Students. Thus far, all of the users' edits have either been to add internal and external links to this article and the private site detailing its existence to correct the perceived POV factual errors in the superceding organization, National Union of Students of Australia. After examining all of users' edits, I believe that Rebecca acted in good faith (minus the "rv crackpottery" edit summary) to restore factually verifiable content back to its original state. Please note that this is not meant to be a personal attack but rather a comment on case from the available information. I think its safe to consider this mediation case closed due to a lack of reply and, for the most part, no wrong doing on Rebecca's part. Luke! 13:41, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not an advocate[edit]

Hi, I'm not an advocate but I was going through the advocacy notices. I just wanted to advise you that I feel Rebecca's actions were likely appropriate. As Shirahadasha mentioned, reliable sources are necessary for any wikipedia article. More importantly perhaps, you should refrain from making articles about organisations you are personally involved in. Check out Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. If you organisation is noteable enough to merit an article, it is likely someone else will create it. If you want, you can request an article be created in the wikiproject Australia.
