I am a south korean man, law student, zen buddhist...

My english blog for the source for wikipedia.

http://blog.korea.com/lwy0417

Many English Netizen don't know about north-eastern asia history...

China and Japan has trying to change North-estern history for thousands years...Because of Their territories, easier govern, etc...

So, many history written by english is incorrect.

For changing historical facts, they deleted all most inportant historical books in korea.

But, by thier own ancient books...It prove that they are lying.

So, I am often writing some historical fact by exact sources

I can't use english well...So, please modify my grammer, expression, etc...^^

Manchu

[edit]

Please post your opinion regarding Manchu on Talk: Manchu, not in the article. Thank you. -- PFHLai 06:59, 2004 Sep 5 (UTC)

opinion?? This is a fact!!!! In China, in Chinese historical sources, They write that exactly. And...My Ancestor is Jurchens. -- thirdid

Jurchens

[edit]

Sorry, I have to remove that note of yours in Jurchens. This is not a proper format for an encyclopedic article.

I think I understand what you are trying to say, but please don't just add unconfirmed information that probably "everybody in Korea knows". I encourage you to add more details to Manchu and Jurchens along with references to back up your claims. And, please be careful to follow the Wikipedia guidelines at Wikipedia:Neutral point of view and Wikipedia:Manual of Style. Thanks.

Happy editing.

MBTI userboxes

[edit]

Hi James WY. Lee,

Thanks for creating all of those personality userboxes! :-) As part of the Wikipedia:German userbox solution, I started migrating them to userspace. I noticed you haven't edited for a while, so I'm going to keep putting them at User:Rfrisbie/Userboxes/Personality. However, I'd be more than happy to move them to your userpage. Just let me know if and when you would like me to do that. Regards, Rfrisbietalk 18:07, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Han Myeong Sook

[edit]

Hi, I've done my best to expand and reference Han Myeong Sook, where you recently added an image. I am unfamiliar with Korean names and I noticed you are Korean - so perhaps you know the answer to this... Is her last name "Sook" or "Myeong-sook"? Thanks, DRK 03:12, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Of course, her last name is Myeong-sook.

Most Korean...99.99%?...name is three korean character. For example,

  • Lee Won Yong
    • Lee : last name. Most korean (more than 50%?) last name is Lee or Kim
    • Won Yong : first name. sometimes, WonYong, Wonyong, Won-Yong, Won-yong...It is same.

one Korean character is one sound. so, Korean name is consist of three character, three sound.

  • Lee: 1st
  • Won: 2nd
  • Yong: 3rd

And, Korean name, 1st is last name. but in US, in english, 1st is not last name.

Han Myeong Sook

  • Han: 1st last name
  • Myeong: 2nd
  • Sook: 3rd
  • Myeong Sook: first name.

Freind, Family, only use won yong. but, news, official intervew, not friendly, we use leewonyong. (korean don't space between each...usually)

we call her as hanmyeongsook. we don't call her myeongsook. we don't call her myeongsookhan. probably, Her mother or father call her myeongsook. any korean don't call her myeongsookhan. It is english style. korean never use.

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Uri Party's Logo.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Uri Party's Logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 05:26, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Kang_Jae-seop.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Quadell (talk) (random) 11:52, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Not exactly, but it's not too hard to go to someone's contributions and click on all the 'rollback' links in sequence using a tabbed browser. (I've never had to do this myself, by the way.) I also think that scripts exist to make it easier for an admin to do this, but I suspect that they're only used by admins heavily into vandalfighting. --ais523 14:15, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

Automated message to bot owners

[edit]

As a result of discussion on the village pump and mailing list, bots are now allowed to edit up to 15 times per minute. The following is the new text regarding bot edit rates from Wikipedia:Bot Policy:

Until new bots are accepted they should wait 30-60 seconds between edits, so as to not clog the recent changes list and user watchlists. After being accepted and a bureaucrat has marked them as a bot, they can edit at a much faster pace. Bots doing non-urgent tasks should edit approximately once every ten seconds, while bots who would benefit from faster editing may edit approximately once every every four seconds.

Also, to eliminate the need to spam the bot talk pages, please add Wikipedia:Bot owners' noticeboard to your watchlist. Future messages which affect bot owners will be posted there. Thank you. --Mets501 05:17, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Request

[edit]
  • Hi, I am not familiar with the Bot process and what or who I have to ask, so please forgive me if I am asking something not possible. What I wanted to do was use the Bot to go through the Category:UFOs and clean up all the articles there and all the articles in its subcategories automatically ... we have already discussed this option in the wikiproject paranormal talk page ( here ) and I was directed to go to an actual Bot discussion page(s) and request clean up here (which is why I am here) -Nima Baghaei talk · cont · email 22:03, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

I noticed Wybot added an interwiki link to the Korean version of {{Infobox School}}. Unfortunately, it added the link outside of the template's <noinclude> tag, which meant scores of school articles here pointed to ko:틀:학교 정보. I'm not sure if pywikipediabot has any provision for <noinclude> tags; if not, I'd suggest excluding the Template: namespace. – Minh Nguyễn (talk, contribs) 02:55, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I'd exclude the Template: namespace. thank you -- WonYong (talk contribs count logs email) 05:21, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Lee Seung-man.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Lee Seung-man.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 13:54, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: korea military

[edit]

Yes, all users are encouraged to adjust the importance rating with the consent of other users. If any other users objects to your rating, you are subjected to revert your change and discuss about it.

F-16 is already tagged under Korean military history task force. It will be redundant to put another tag on the page. Aquarius • talk 02:47, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Kim_Geun-Tae.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast (talk) 16:19, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WonYongTalk 14:23, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
