The article Bethel Church, Mansfield Woodhouse, Official Page has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

We have an article already at Bethel Church, Mansfield Woodhouse and a redirect from this title would not be appropriate

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Constructive contributions are appreciated and strongly encouraged, but your recent edit to the userpage of another user may be considered vandalism. Specifically, your edit to User:O0pandora0o may be offensive or unwelcome. In general, it is considered polite to avoid substantially editing others' userpages without their permission. Instead, please bring the matter to their talk page and let them edit their user page themselves if they agree on a need to do so. Please refer to Wikipedia:User page for more information on User page etiquette. Thank you. CT Cooper · talk 19:51, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

[edit]
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for making legal threats or taking legal action. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

You are not allowed to edit Wikipedia while the threats stand or the legal action is unresolved. CT Cooper · talk 22:37, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

For the record, the comment about taking legal action was here.

As the Wikipedia:No legal threats policy makes clear, users who make threats of legal action or take legal action are not allowed to contribute to the project indefinitely while the threat stands for reasons given in the policy itself. I will only unblock this account if the legal threat is dropped, or the issue is resolved. If you are in contact with the Wikimedia Foundation, you are free to continue discussions with them over the content of the Bethel Church, Mansfield Woodhouse, and hopefully they will resolve the issue for you. While I appreciate that you wish to resolve this on Wikipedia itself, that cannot happen with a threat of legal action hanging over the dispute. CT Cooper · talk 22:41, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I was not intending to suggest that we were threatening legal action, but rather that I felt the need to resolve the issues with the Bethel Church article that are grossly inaccurate. It is however very difficult to resolve these issues when every attempt I have made has been frustrated so far. I have to confess that I know nothing about Wikipedia policies, or what the proper course of action is in this case. I do have a concern that due to the misrepresentation of Bethel Church, If it is not resolved to everyone's satisfaction, then due to the content I would have every right to seek legal help. I desperately want to avoid this. Please re-consider unblocking me and help me to find the correct means of resolving these issues for the sake of all involved. Kindly. wooptedoo
Hello again, please sign your posts either by typing four tildes (~~~~) or by pushing the signature button () which will automatically produce your username and date as needed.
I'm glad you are keen to settle this onwiki, and I have decided to unblock your account on the presumption that you will not threaten or take legal action unless the onwiki process fails to reach a satisfactory conclusion. I would suggest not mention legal action again unless you are actually pursing it, as doing so tends to make editors feel uneasy.
I have made no significant contributions to the Bethel Church, Mansfield Woodhouse article, nor am I very familiar with the subject. However, I can give some standard advice for editing articles and disputing their contents. Firstly, since you are connected to the organisation the article is on, please ensure you familiarise yourself with the Wikipedia:Conflict of interest guideline. If you are to succeed in changing the article, you need to show that the article content violates Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I would recommend familiarising yourself with Wikipedia:Verifiability, Wikipedia:No original research, and Wikipedia:Neutral point of view as core policies to start with, and then detailing your concerns on the talk page of the article at Talk:Bethel Church, Mansfield Woodhouse so other editors can respond. CT Cooper · talk 19:40, 20 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You, I will certainly take on board your suggestions. --81.106.175.54 (talk) 21:41, 20 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The page John hibbert has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be blatant advertising which only promotes something, and which is unlikely to be suitable for an article (or at best would need a fundamental rewrite). Wikipedia is not a medium for promotion of anything, whether a company, product, group, service, person, religious or political belief, or anything else. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please see WP:NPOV. NawlinWiki (talk) 15:57, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
