User Page Edit?

[edit]

Hi there, and what are you doing editing my user page?

Sorry: Welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for your contributions! (We seem to share some interest, which I suppose is why you came upon me.)

...but anyway, if you drop by, what happened?

OIC: you corrected a spelling error ("tendancy" for "tendency"), but broke something else in the process; thanks for the fix!

Sartre

[edit]

Your edit, giving the auto-biography of Lars Gyllensten as a source for Sartre's attempt to claim the prize money, was reverted as per Talk:Jean-Paul_Sartre#Sartre_after_literature_-_Nobel_Prize. This is interesting information—do you have a copy of the book to hand (or do you remember the title), and if so, might you add the relevant citation?

I'm guessing that it must be Lars Gyllensten: Minnen, bara minnen (Stockholm 2000) at Google books; I've tried to cite it (at the talk page) as best I can; would you have a reference handy?

Thanks!

As per the discussion, I've now re-incorporated the allegation, with citation.

I've provided a (belated) reply to your query, "What's the point of the above snippet" on the Sartre discussion page. Regards, 137.82.188.68 (talk) 02:03, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Denniss. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to United States Strategic Bombing Survey have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Denniss (talk) 09:13, 13 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your message is quite incoherent so not sure whether I’m responding to a bot or not, but how can a claim accompanied by reference to a work be considered “promotional”? Maybe English isn’t your first language and what you meant to say is that the reference should be to primary sources? Try to be more articulate next time to avoid wasting people’s time. Thanks.
