Question(s)[edit]

  • Is this like an actual fail or pass test?
  • Is it what secondary students would call an "Open book" test?

After these questions are answered...I can say that I am ready to start :) -- MelbourneStar☆ (talk to me) 03:33, 21 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Firstly, it's not really a pass or fail test. It's a pass or "we have a chat about where you haven't quite got it right" test. It's all about learning. Secondly, yes, it's absolutely open book. If I can get you into the habit of looking up what you don't know, so much the better. Make sure you put it into your own words though, I know the policies well enough to spot copying ;) The final test is a bit more pass or fail, but by the time you get there you should pass :) I've moved you the first questions over for you. Ready to complete - prior 2012[edit]

My Goal: Complete all tests by 2012 - let's hope it's possbile! (that means commencing.....now :) if you're not busy)

Awkward if this isn't in your watchlist.

If you're busy, let me know.

Thanks, -- MSTR (Chat Me!) 08:13, 9 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Lol, good luck with that! and of course I'm watching ;) - Are you ready for the next test then? WormTT · (talk) 08:58, 9 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, please! -- MSTR (Chat Me!) 09:00, 9 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"The Test"[edit]

I want to do it - but I can't atm, because my mum is going to kill me if I don't empty out my school bag :/

Saturday I may/may not be able to ~ depends on how the day goes. But I don't care what happens, I'm going to do that test, by Sunday. I'll find time. Regardless.

MelbourneStar: "Making excuses for not being able to do his WP Adoption tests, since March 2011" - If I'm thinking that about myself, hate to think what you're thinking about me lol ;) but I'll get it done! -- MSTR (Chat Me!)

Real life come first :) I'll stick the test up in a bit. Sort out your school bag for now :P WormTT · (talk) 11:14, 9 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Just finished it. My brain thinks anything associated with school takes a long time to complete. Guess it's wrong :P I shall do the test, now. If possible, offcourse, -- MSTR (Chat Me!) 11:20, 9 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Next test please, if possible :) -- MSTR (Chat Me!) 10:33, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Next test tommorow? and question: has that "Lesson Book" on the main adoption page - Always been there? Because I have just noticed it. -- MSTR (Chat Me!) 11:26, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'll stick the lesson up in a bit. Whether or not you want to take the test is up to you, it's considered one of the more tough lessons for some people (and REALLY easy for others). WormTT · (talk) 11:30, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
"it's considered one of the more tough lessons for some people (and REALLY easy for others)." Don't know what that's supposed to mean ;) but I'd rather have a little more time to do it, so would I be able to do it tommorow? (I'm asking because I don't want you to have to do a million things - and then have to have me here doing a test). Plus its already 10:30PM and my eyes are starting to go tired - but hey, then again, you'd still see me on here at 2 or even 3 in the morning :P -- MSTR (Chat Me!) 11:35, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
you can do it whenever you like :) oh, and yes the lesson book is there for ages. WormTT · (talk) 11:50, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oh great. Wow. I'm blind and half asleep, not noticing tests... Thank you for reminding me, lol :P -- MSTR (Chat Me!) 11:55, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Template test[edit]

I'm currently working on this wonderful template test. You sure were not lying when you said this test was going to be hard :s -- MSTR (Happy New Year!) 10:19, 4 January 2012 (UTC) Indeed. It's not easy at all ;)[reply]

Sorry if I'm asking this when your busy, but call me stupid, and I'll answer. What does 'Module' mean? hell, I don't even know what 'call' means. Where it says "A-" after the question, do I add a template there? and that nice new page at: User:Worm That Turned/Adopt/MelbourneStar1/Template - am I supposed to edit that? Because you know once I edit that page, it won't be looking so "nice and new"... (if you think I'm bad here, you should see me school :/) -- MSTR (Happy New Year!) 10:34, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Right. Module means lesson. I should change that for consistency. You can call a template by using curly braces, so {{User:WormTT/Fake}} will call the template called User:WormTT/Fake, which doesn't exist. You can pass a parameter, by using a | (pipe). {{User:WormTT/Fake|parameter}} passes an unnamed parameter, {{User:WormTT/Fake|Worm=parameter}} passes a named parameter (called Worm). You will need to edit the template for the 4th question, but not for the first 3. WormTT · (talk) 10:46, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Okay thanks, I think I get it..I have tried the first question, and it works. -- MSTR (Happy New Year!) 11:09, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Question for, with all due respect, is being a bitch and a half, to tell you the truth. It's so difficult!
Could I kindly have a clue? -- MSTR (Happy New Year!) 12:08, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Well, you can set up new named parameters by editing the template (nice new page) and adding triple curly braces {{{X}}} where X is the name of the new parameter. Then, you can call the new parameter {{User:WormTT/Fake|X=my new parameter}}... and if it isn't used, it doesn't show... so your old stuff should work too... WormTT · (talk) 14:02, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Next lesson...now? whenever's good for you :) -- MSTR (Happy New Year!) 09:02, 5 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
