February 2022[edit]

Per the Manual of Style page on India-related articles, avoid the use of Indic scripts in the lead sections or infoboxes. Instead, use International Phonetic Alphabet pronunciation guides, which are more international. Exceptions are articles on the script itself, articles on a language that uses the script, and articles on texts originally written in a particular script. This does not apply to articles that are not predominantly within the scope of WikiProject India.

Consensus and common practice among WikiProject Pakistan editors is that the lead sentence of an article may contain Urdu or other transliterations in regional script(s) such as Shahmukhi, Perso-Arabic, Naskh etc., where applicable or relevant. IPA may be used additionally to aid pronunciation. Articles under the scope of WikiProject Pakistan are not covered under WP:INDICSCRIPT. Note that this consensus only applies to Pakistan-related articles. The use of Urdu and other non-Indic scripts on articles outside the scope of Pakistan-related articles, such as India-related articles, may be subsumed under WP:INDICSCRIPT.

The scripts you have added will be reverted if they haven't been already. Please do not add non-English scripts et all to India related articles. Gotitbro (talk) 05:05, 26 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for May 7[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Philip E. Mason, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tesla. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:07, 7 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Flags[edit]

Please do not repeatedly add WP:OR/fictional flags at Mughal empire etc without discussing and supporting the additions with scholarly sources. I know that such fancruft based usually on "I saw/heard it somewhere" abounds on wikipedia, but there is no need to aid its spread. Instead it would be appreciated if you could help clean up such unverified claims. Abecedare (talk) 23:06, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

June 2022[edit]

Please have a look at Wikipedia:Summary style. Copying large amount of text from one article and pasting it into another is not good idea. utcursch | talk 19:30, 10 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have removed irrelevant sections and only included sections about Rajendra's contributions. this article isn't too long as there are several longer Wikipedia articles about other monarchs such as Ashoka and Akbar which asr almost twice as long as this article. copying and pasting whitin Wikipedia is allowed as long as a link is provided. Alert for India/Pakistan/Afghanistan related articles[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

To opt out of receiving messages like this one, place {{Ds/aware}} on your user talk page and specify in the template the topic areas that you would like to opt out of alerts about. For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Warning[edit]

It is clear that you are not here to edit collaboratively but just push your ideas and viewpoints and are also edit warring to do that. If this behavior continues then your editing privileges may be revoked. —SpacemanSpiff 02:29, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Like I mentioned in the talk section of the article Rajaraja I like I have been asked to I added in images and expended on sections of the article. The information that I added was sourced and I removed sections after other editors pointed out it was irrelevant. I didn’t add in a minority opinion like mentioned in WP:UNDUE

  • Thank you for acknowledging that you're using sockpuppets, to make things easier, could you also tell us the names of the other accounts you are using? —SpacemanSpiff 03:25, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry used the wrong account I rarely use this account when editing chola related content. I accidentally had it in my phone I apologize

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Request reason:

Editer1234566 Is my mobile account(as I have now added to the user page) I rarely edit the same articles and not at the same time. The edit on Rajaraja I a mistake. I accidentally used that account since I was in my phone and didn’t realize I wasn’t on my main account. I didn’t mean to look like multiple editors. I apologize and completely understand my mistake. I won’t repeat this again Writer2433986 (talk) 2:24 pm, Today (UTC+1)

Decline reason:

I agree it's a mobile account of yours. But you also wrote " I accidentally had it in my phone I apologize" - both accounts in your phone, how does that happen accidentally? And of course there's the editing logged out and the edit warring. Doug Weller talk 14:32, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Look, you are running two accounts. You're not being forthcoming completely about the difference between mobile and non-mobile accounts. You're editing logged out with both. Why should you be unblocked? Doug Weller talk 15:25, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

talk when I look at the pagerajaraja and realized the edits have been reverted and I had been warned so I responded to User Spaceman explaining why I made these changes. Then I realized that I was on my mobile account (which I rarely use to edit chola related material since I prefer using my computer for it) I then logged into my regular account to let Spaceman know that I was on my mobile account. This was the first and only time I used this account on my phone.

as for edit warring, I was not aware of the three-revert rule (3RR) at the time. I have read Wikipedia:Edit warring and am aware of it now. on Rajaraja I I also discussed my edit in the talk page like I was asked to.

Do you use both accounts from your non-mobile device? Doug Weller talk 17:44, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

talk No, I looked at the log of that account User contributions for Editer1234566 and all edits I made were from a mobile device other than uploading images to wikimedia
I have very few edits on that account in general Writer2433986 (talk) 18:43, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, please tell me which if these edits are yours, account or not.[1]. Doug Weller talk 14:25, 12 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
the edits I made were on my computer which is why I used my main account. The article was vague and included wikipedia mirror sites as sources which is why I made those edits Writer2433986 (talk) 15:58, 12 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
So none of the IP addresses were your edits? Doug Weller talk 18:19, 12 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
no. I edit on public connections sometimes so they might be a shared IP address Writer2433986 (talk) 19:06, 12 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No. Doug Weller talk 19:21, 12 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
then they are not a shared Ip and were made by different users Writer2433986 (talk) 19:28, 12 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I’ll add you to the SPI for Shark2433086 tomorrow. Lying doesn’t help you. Doug Weller talk 19:05, 13 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
And of course your other two accounts. Doug Weller talk 19:20, 13 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I don't understand what you mean. I checked the logs of the ip's and they weren't mine Writer2433986 (talk) 19:39, 13 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
As I said, I’ve blocked your two other accounts. I’m not interested in your comments about logs. Do you understand that I know what IP addresses you use? Doug Weller talk 20:29, 13 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I am aware that Editer1234566 my other account has also been blocked. I know that you have access CheckUser. I edit on public connections so the IP's might be shared Writer2433986 (talk) 21:00, 13 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
And somehow you forgot about Editor2433986. Pull the other one. Doug Weller talk 16:06, 14 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No more, both socks blocked and tagged. I know your IP addresses also. Doug Weller talk 16:17, 14 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Oops, my bad, you’re a sock puppet, not the puppet master. Doug Weller talk 17:40, 14 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I completely forgot about that account. I might have created it a long time ago Writer2433986 (talk) 01:40, 15 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
