Me again. Be especially careful when writing about people or organizations with which you have a personal connection. It's a conflict of interest and makes it awfully hard to produce or edit an article with a neutral point of view, one of the Five pillars of Wikipedia. A conflict of interest also makes it difficult to stand back and decide dispassionately whether people, groups or organizations with which you are affiliated (or know personally) actually deserve an article, according to Wikipedia's standards of notabillity. If they don't, the article can be speediliy deleted or taken to the articles for deletion page to be discussed before action is taken. Here's an example of the process. You also have to watch out for conflict of interest when adding external links to an article. If you own the web sites in question or are personally connected to the owner (especially commercially), you shouldn't add the links yourself to the article. It's quite a no-no. Best to suggest them on the talk page of the article and let other editors review and add them. Best wishes, Voceditenore (talk) 09:30, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
