How to remove stub status?

[edit]

{{helpme}} I've just expanded a stub for National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research. I didn't use the 'expand' option in the editing pane and I want to know how to remove its stub status. I can't find the answer in the FAQs or on the stub page (the latter tells you anyone can remove stub status, but it doesn't tell you how!).

I also want to change the category of the page, as currently it's categorised under New Zealand company - stub. I've tried looking to see if there is a category 'New Zealand company' but I haven't found one. I'm not sure if I'm looking in the right place! Where should I go to find such a category?

Many thanks, Fiona YDdraig (talk) 06:32, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, thanks for expanding the article, it's very much appreciated. Concerning the stub, if you click "edit" and scroll all the way to the bottom you should see {{NZ-company-stub}} on the second from bottom line. Just remove that. Concerning the category, it's currently in the category "Crown Research Institutes of New Zealand" which I think covers the "companies in New Zealand" thing adequately. If that's not clear, feel free to remove the "tlx|" part from the helpme tag and ask another question. Ta. --Closedmouth (talk) 06:45, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Closedmouth. Much appreciated. Would you consider adding a general explanation of how to remove stub status under that subsection on the stub page. I reckon I'm probably not the only newbie wondering how to do it. Cheers :) YDdraig (talk)

The blue superscript letters that appear before the ref titles is not a bug. They are created deliberately by the software and they link to each place in the article the reference is used. PrimeHunter (talk) 16:24, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
