Yann, I agree I cannot find written phrase that the 40 years spent as Town Clerk for Jack Thomson was the longest. However he did spend 40 years as Town Clerk (CEO), and the history of the council of Doncaster and Templestowe was from 1915 to 1994 then serving 40 years as Town Clerk (CEO) makes it impossible for anyone else to serve as the CEO (Town Clerk/Secretary) for the other 39 years. So he was the longest serving Town Clerk (CEO) for the City of Doncaster and Templestowe. So on that bases I have amended the introduction to mention 40 years and qualified the term being for the Doncaster and Templestowe council.

Blocked in Wikimedia commons[edit]

Hello Yan, I have been blocked by you in 2008 in Wikimedia commons because I Uploaded unfree files. In that period I haven't enough experience on Wikipedia, and I didn't read the warnings administrators made to me. I wonder if it is possible to reactivate my user in Wikimedia commons. Now, I have the experience and the responsibility to work in Wikimedia commons and I apply for you to be a user again. I would be grateful and you will not regret. At first, I only want to make maps, not upload any photo. Thanks for reading. Best regards. --Migang2g (talk) 08:20, 7 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Migang2g: Hi,
Please request unblocking on your talk page on Commons, so that several admins can give their opinions. Thanks, Yann (talk) 21:05, 7 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Heyo Yann :) There is a meetup organised on 24 January 2016 at Maker Fest, CEPT, Ahmedabad. For further information, read the meetup page. We would love to have your presence. Thank you, Yash! 06:34, 14 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked in Wikimedia Commons on January 18th 2016[edit]

Dear Yann,

You blocked me and wrote that I am "blocked for uploading copyvios after warnings" at this deletion request below after you deleted these seven files in Wikimedia Commons on January 18th. I did not upload copyvios categorized in Category:Fox Sports, which was nominated for deletion and deleted by you in Commons on January 18th! I'm just uploading free images (such as logos) to Commons to put it to articles on the local Wikipedia, for example: Dutch Wikipedia. On January 20th, I requested unblocking on the talk page, then Hedwig in Washington came on January 21st and said that this is my "second block within a short period" and that I obviously don't know about copyright and that these images (which I have uploaded) have proven that. He also says that he wants me to use the week to read up on c:Com:L, c:Com:Copyright, c:Com:L, c:Com:Scope and that he wants me to read that several times and compare what you read to these images (which I have uploaded). I already did that. And yes, I always already do know about copyright. By the way, I did not upload copyvios categorized in Category:Fox Sports, which was nominated for deletion and deleted by you in Commons on January 18th. On January 27th, I requested unblocking on the talk page again, then Taivo came on January 28th and says that I "cannot publish an image (e.g. a logo) under free license", and "its copyright belongs to somebody else" and that I'm not allowed to use the image in sister projects, for example: nl.wiki and using images in sister projects, such as nl.wiki is copyrighted. He also says that I do not understand copyright and he will just block me and extend the blocking time for a year instead by changing the block settings, with no more any rights to do something to be unblocked, even request unblocking on the own talk page in Wikimedia Commons, and refuses to unblock me after I said that I did not upload copyvios categorized in Category:Fox Sports, which was nominated for deletion and deleted by you in Commons on January 18th and will just ignore and dismiss me instead, because he thinks that I do not understand copyright. Yes I am, I always already do understand copyright, I can release images (such as logos) under a free license or in the public domain and I can use images in sister projects, such as nl.wiki. That's all what I do. I wonder if it is possible to unblock me in Wikimedia Commons, because I didn't upload copyvios categorized in Category:Fox Sports, which was nominated for deletion and deleted by you in Commons on January 18th. Now, I have the experience and the responsibility to work in Wikimedia Commons. At first, I only want to upload logos and/or transfer free images to Wikimedia Commons, not upload any photo. Thanks for reading. Best regards. --XPanettaa (talk) 18:28, 17 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@XPanettaa: Hi,
You current block is not by me, but by Taivo. If you want to be unblocked on Commons, you need to ask there. It is quite unusual to be blocked 3 times for copyright violations. It is quite obvious that you didn't pay attention to warnings and previous blocks, Regards, Yann (talk) 20:39, 17 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Yann: Yeah, but I cannot use the email and I also cannot edit the own user talk page, because Taivo is the one who said that I do not understand copyright and blocked me and extended the blocking time for a year instead by changing the block settings, with no more any rights to do something to be unblocked, such as requesting unblock on the own talk page and using email to be unblocked in Wikimedia Commons, and refused to unblock me after I said that I did not upload copyvios categorized in Category:Fox Sports, which was nominated for deletion and deleted by you at this deletion request in Commons on January 18th and will just ignore and dismiss me instead, and will never come back and never wants to talk to me, again. And he never wants to listen to me either, because he thinks that I'm most likely not the one who do understands copyright. Yes I am, I am the one who always already do understand copyright and I'm not the one who uploaded copyvios categorized in Category:Fox Sports, which was nominated for deletion and deleted by you in Commons on January 18th. I think that you should do this for me to be unblocked in Wikimedia Commons, because I did not upload copyvios categorized in Category:Fox Sports, which was nominated for deletion and deleted by you in Commons on January 18th. Now, I have the experience and the responsibility to work in Wikimedia Commons. Mainly, I only want to upload free logos, categorize images, and/or transfer free images to Wikimedia Commons, etc., not upload any photo. Thank you. Best regards. XPanettaa (talk) 17:10, 19 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@XPanettaa: Hi,
I unblocked your talk page on Commons. Regards, Yann (talk) 21:34, 19 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, now I am now able to ask there to be unblocked on Commons. Best regards. XPanettaa (talk) 08:32, 20 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I just sent an email to Taivo on Commons to get me unblocked, but he does not answer me, and I have been waiting for too long until he replies to me or he ignored me instead. I think you should do this for me to get me unblocked right now, because he does not reply to me after I sent an email to him and I think he ignored me instead. Thank you. XPanettaa (talk) 19:16, 21 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@XPanettaa: Hi,
Well, did you use {{ublocked}}? I won't unblock you unless there is an agreement with other admins. And do not send emails again, or you will be blocked again. Regards, Yann (talk) 09:46, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Yann: Okay, I have added {{unblocked}} on Commons, Now come to this and unblock me, because I did not upload copyvios categorized in Category:Fox Sports, which was nominated for deletion and deleted by you in Commons on January 18th. Thanks for reading. Best regards. XPanettaa (talk) 18:59, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Yann: Hello,
See? Elcobbola on Commons says that I DO upload copyright violations (such as attack files, stupid things, offensive things, rough things, file with a name that would be a violation of Commons' policies and guidelines, or reproductions of other inappropriate works, etc.) and that I have now more than 100 deleted attack files! And he also says DO upload copyright violations categorized in Category:Fox Sports, which was nominated for deletion by Nick on January 17th and deleted by you at this deletion request in Commons on January 18th, and that I still highly likely do not know about copyright and that I still highly likely do not understand copyright, at all! And he thinks that he's really sick and tired of me! Oh yes, I do know about copyright, I do understand copyright, and I did NOT upload more than 60 copyright violations (such as attack files, stupid things, offensive things, rough things, file with a name that would be a violation of Commons' policies and guidelines, or reproductions of other inappropriate works, etc.), and I do NOT have more than 100 deleted attack files, at all! And I did not upload copyright violations categorized in Category:Fox Sports, which was nominated for deletion by Nick on January 17th and deleted by you in Commons on January 18th either! He's lying to me! Please see this. I've used {{unblocked}} in Commons, but one or more administrators (especially Natuur12, the one who is incredibly hostile or opposed to me while I'm uploading free logos, categorizing files, and/or transferring free files to Wikimedia Commons, etc.) does not have a choice at all and refused to unblock me, and dismissed me instead, and they thinks that I highly likely do not know about copyright, do not understand copyright at all, do upload more than 60 copyright violations (e.g. attack images), and highly likely do upload copyright violations categorized in Category:Fox Sports, which was nominated for deletion by Nick on January 17th and deleted by you in Commons on January 18th and they thinks that they're really sick and tired of me. I think you should tell Elcobbola, Taivo, Hedwig in Washington, and the others in Commons that I am right and that do know about copyright, do understand copyright, did not upload more than 60 copyright violations (e.g. attack images), and did not upload copyright violations categorized in Category:Fox Sports, which was nominated for deletion by Nick on January 17th and deleted by you in Commons on January 18th, because this might be the one and only chance to fix this problem and get me unblocked and I'm really getting tired of this. Thank you. XPanettaa (talk) 15:43, 27 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Yann: You received a new message at Wikimedia Commons. See this. XPanettaa (talk) 20:30, 18 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Yann,
I have spent days and hours trying to do something in order to get unblocked since I got blocked by Steinsplitter on Commons on August 21st despite I didn't do anything wrong and I was only uploading free images, categorizing images, and/or transferring free images to Wikimedia Commons, etc. and therefore not going back to uploading these files (such as attack files, stupid, offensive, blatant and/or rough things, file with a name that would be a violation of Commons' policies and guidelines, or reproductions of other inappropriate works, etc.), but unfortunately I couldn't make it last night and instead, Magog the Ogre has extended the expiration time for an indefinite amount of time by changing the block settings, with no more any rights to do something to get unblocked, such as requesting unblock on the own talk page and using email to get unblocked in Wikimedia Commons, said that I "have been told enough" and I "have chosen to ignore it" and that "this leads me to believe that" I "lack the lack the competence to be here", and refuses to unblock me after I said that I have only uploaded images, which are considered too simple to be copyrighted in my eyes as it only consists of simple geometric shapes and/or text on August 20 and 21 and therefore not copyvios or "file in violation of COM:L after warnings ans previous blocks" in that same day after he unblocked me in Commons on August 20th and will likely just ignore, dismiss, ditch, hate, break up with and take a dump on me instead, and will never come back, never wants to talk to me again and never forgive me. And also, he never wants to listen to me either and decided to get revenge on me as he thinks that I certainly and recently did copyright violations, sockpuppetry, disruptive editing, and so on. But it seems extremely and highly unlikely to me that I certainly and recently did things in Commons, including copyright violations, sockpuppetry, disruptive editing, and so on. And also, it is very unlikely that I necessarily have two, three or more sock puppet accounts or that my account is a confirmed sock puppet account. I only have one account and my account is a confirmed main account and no sock puppet. I wonder if it is possible to unblock me in Wikimedia Commons, because I have only uploaded images, which are too simple to be copyrighted as it only consists of simple geometric shapes and/or text on August 20 and 21. And also, it seems highly unlikely to me that I certainly did recently upload copyvios or "file in violation of COM:L after warnings ans previous blocks" (such as attack files, stupid, offensive, blatant and/or rough things, file with a name that would be a violation of Commons' policies and guidelines, or reproductions of other inappropriate works, etc.) in that same day after Magog the Ogre (who extended the expiration time for an indefinite amount of time by changing the block settings, with no more any rights to do something to get unblocked, such as requesting unblock on the own talk page and using email to get unblocked in Wikimedia Commons) unblocked me on August 20th in Wikimedia Commons. Now, I have the experience and the responsibility to work in Wikimedia Commons. At first, I only want to license under a Commons-compatible free license when uploading an image, categorize images, and/or transfer free images to Wikimedia Commons, etc., not upload any photo. Thanks for reading. Best regards. XPanettaa (talk) 19:06, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock My commons.wikimedia Account[edit]

Please be aware I mistakenly put the below on your profile page I respectfully tried to undo, but I am in duress. Hello person named User:Yann 1. Yesterday you blocked my commons.wikimedia which was a malicious act on your part. After investigation you and: Taivo Hedwig_in_Washington XenonX3 https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Taivo https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Hedwig_in_Washington https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:XenonX3 are co conspirators, and Gangbang other people. I have sent official notice to Wikipedia Legal Department to which I am filing a lawsuit including claims of discrimination because of you and you personal friends. Please give me you Full name, and address for service, Please do not impede the law by evading.

2. I strongly advise that you unblock my account my pictures on there need to sourced, that is they are not in legal compliance, and you and you friends have made wikimedia liable.

3. I find you and your friends token keepsakes very offensive which are listed here: XenonX3 [[1]] [[2]] And I am entitled to let the people know.

4. If you and your friends censor me again that will be another claim I will file in the courts.

5. I recommend that you catch up on Law as it is in the United States of America here: [The Enforcement Act of 1871 (17 Stat. 13), also known as the Civil Rights Act of 1871, Force Act of 1871, Ku Klux Klan Act, Third Enforcement Act, or Third Ku Klux Klan Act]

6. I notice on your wikimedia account you also reference yourself as a god which is also very offencive. As in the United States of America we have the separation of church and state as you are or think you are some kind of Government to which you are not to which legal claims of separation of church and state I could file against wikipedia.

7. I'll also recommend that you revert this https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Deletion_requests/File:Thing_One_and_Thing_Two.jpg from your other5 gangbanger friend Bidgee https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Bidgee

8. Except for my last picture I need you to rate the quality of each picture.

9. I would also like to add that XenonX3 came into the United States Jurisdiction to which XenonX appears to be legally copywritten here if that is the case you are required to undo all of his actions against me which were under the color of law, and I will respectfully look at my actions and undo as necessary. Please be aware XenonX3 claims to represent XenonX; therefore if not mitigated I am entitled to file legal claims against the Corporation XenonX, and Wikipedia actually you might want to look into that whole account, and a name change is probably necessary.

10. An one of XenonX3 friends User:Gunnex trolled out of, and found out my full name according to wikipedia right to disappear you are required to remove all instance to which I disagree. I will file a slander lawsuit against wikipedia. I also want my name removed from the archive. Including comments from: Bidgee Yann Taivo Hedwig_in_Washington User:Gunnex Slanders my name Located Here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Forum#Merkw.C3.BCrdige_Edits I would also recommend that you tell User:Gunnex to not troll, or Slander people

11. Remember Buddha teachings, and please try to stay civil this time. Respectfully submitted — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jasonshortes (talkcontribs) 10:48, 26 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Yann! For more details see also User talk:Gunnex#Remove Slander, and Stop Trolling. --Gunnex (talk) 19:37, 26 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Jasonshortes, you need to get quiet, or I would request a block here too. Regards, Yann (talk) 21:43, 26 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

In order to create a new list, we need to put a request it in Phabricator, and add a link to reasoning/explanation of purpose, and link to community consensus. Therefore we need your vote for this now, so we can request the creation of the mail list.

Read more about this email list at Meta; Wikimedia genealogy project mail list where you can support the creation of the mail list with your vote, in case you haven't done so already.

Thanks for removing the images. The entire article is gonna be replaced top-to-bottom in a day or three anyhow, with many images. Then much bickering by people who are invested in the previous version of the aricle, I assume.  Lingzhi ♦ (talk) 04:24, 7 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Administrator de systemas Linux[edit]

Hello there,

So you're a former Linux sysadmin? Are you still dealing in free and open source softwares even as a translator? I began contributing to Wikipedia in interlingua last month about computer science as I am currently a sysadmin with prior experience as a web developer. Maybe we'd catch each other on LinkedIn as per coincidence we likely have the same first name!

I know that I was warned, but not by you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Matthew250 (talkcontribs) 21:12, 20 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Matthew250 So? Does it matter? You don't need to ping me on my own talk page. Yann (talk) 21:15, 20 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
