The article Julian Krinsky Yesh Shabbat has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable summer camp, partially written like an advertisement.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and remember that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. NTox · talk 05:58, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Julian Krinsky Yesh Shabbat has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of why this is notable enough for an encyclopaedia article, seems to be just another summer camp. Just a list of locations and staff

More[edit]

Hi, I notice you have edited the Julian Krinsky Yesh Shabbat article. You still need to provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. At the moment, there is nothing to tell me why this summer school merits an encyclopaedia article, it appears to be just one of many. You need to explain why it is particularly notable, sourced to independent verifiable references. If you cannot, it's difficult to see why the article should stay. Wikipedia is not intended simply to be a notice board for organisations to use as they see fit Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:08, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Some of your edit summaries contained text such as "Wiki is a great way for them to learn the religious affiliation of programs" and "Page is important because people have trouble identifying the religious affiliation of summer programs, and this page allows people to do so." These indicate that your intention is to use Wikipedia to make more widely known information which you believe is not yet widely known enough. Unfortunately, this is a misunderstanding of the purpose of Wikipedia. Wikipedia's policy is that it exists to provide a readily available reference for information which is already covered in significant relaible sources, and not to act as amediume for disseminating or publicising information becasue you want more people to be awae of it. Using Wikipedia to msk more widely known information comes under teh heading of editing to promote that information. A common misunderstanding, for some reason, is to think that "promotion" refers only to commercial promotion to benefit a business, but thsi is not so.
