Hi Yorukcan, it's Gustavo doing the peer review. You have covered very well the diffusion of gas through membranes, but I was expecting to see more information about the membranes itself, such as: how to produce it, what materials they're made of, costs of production, cost to separate CO2, if it's used nowadays or not, selectivity of the membranes, etc. I looked up in the sandboxes of the other people from your group, but couldn't find anything about it. Also, I think one picture would help explaining the diffusion process across the membrane.Gustavocaride (talk) 04:26, 4 May 2016 (UTC)
Good overview of membrane separation theory, but as Gustavo brought up, I think there should be more information about using membranes for CO2/N2 separation in flue gas. Some questions I have:
- what membrane materials would be used to do this separation?
- what thickness of membrane would be needed?
- what feed gas pressure would the membrane separation need to operate at and what energy penalty would this bring?
