Thanks, JbhTalk 14:24, 23 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Rhonda Dimmie discography[edit]

Hello You're the Reason Why I Sing,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Rhonda Dimmie discography for deletion, because it appears to duplicate an existing Wikipedia article, Rhonda Dimmie.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. JbhTalk 14:24, 23 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia policies and guidelines[edit]

Hi and Welcome to Wikipedia. I have noticed that the articles you have started do not cite any reliable sources. All inforamtion in Wikipedia articles must be citable to reliable sources per the Policy on Verifiability. Without such citations it is not possible to know if the subjects pass the general notability guidelines required for a subject to have a Wikipedia article. Please read Wikipedia's notability criteria for songs and albums and the notability criteria for bands and musicians. Articles which do not meet these criteria are very likely to be deleted via a deletion discussion.

Also your user name is in violation of the userename policy against promotional usernames. You can submit a request to change your username at Wikipedia:Changing username. Promotional usernames often indicate a possible conflict of interest with the subject. Please read the conflict of interest guidelines to see how to manage a COI if you have one. If you are receiving any compensation for your editing you must disclose that relationship per Wikipidia's policy on paid editing.

If I can be of any assistance or if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. JbhTalk 22:22, 23 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

October 2016[edit]

Information icon Please do not remove Biographies of Living Persons PRODs from articles, as you did with Rhonda Dimmie, unless reliable sources have been provided. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the respective talk page instead. This is the second time you have done this. JbhTalk 22:24, 23 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rhonda Dimmie requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. COI[edit]

Information icon Hello, You're the Reason Why I Sing. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. 2601:188:1:AEA0:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 02:25, 24 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Rhonda Dimmie discography[edit]

The article Rhonda Dimmie discography has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication any songs pass WP:NSONG. Associated article is at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rhonda Dimmie.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
