January 2024[edit]
Hi YourDailyDOHs! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Jordan Flores that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. Kj cheetham (talk) 20:26, 12 January 2024 (UTC)

- All I will be altering is images on articles for for footballer from Bohemian FC and the number of appearances made for the club to date, as I've recently been taken on by the club to look after all of their media.

- Hi, a few things I need to make you aware of - for images, you just need to add the filename to infoboxes, not the File: stuff around it, as per WP:IBI. The image size parameter is really only for images under 200px and is for what size it should display at, not what the original resolution of the image is. Don't forget to log in before posting messages. Most importantly though, you said you've been taken on by the club, which raises a potential conflict of interest, so please see the message below for more details about that. -Kj cheetham (talk) 23:10, 12 January 2024 (UTC)

- Just in relation to the conflict of interest part - the only thing I plan to change is updating the number of appearances they have made to date, as well as posting an up to date image. As the league of ireland is quite small in the grand scheme, very few people actually have a photo attached to their article, so there should be nothing to dispute or that could be seen as biased in any way 78.19.40.36 (talk) 23:20, 12 January 2024 (UTC)

- Just to clarify
- I have been hired by the club, yes, but the Wiki editing is not something I have been ask to do or paid to do. I have taken it upon myself to update the pages as I thought it would help to have accurate information on all of our players, so I don't think this is considered paid editing.
- Let me know if there is an issue here, as I would rather not do it than have to go through any obstacles or declarations just to attach photographs to articles

- Even if you're not doing paid editing, the fact you work for the club means and you want to edit related articles means there is still a conflict of interest (as per WP:ACTUALCOI). Doesn't mean you can't edit then, but at the very least I'd suggest making a one-off declaration on your user page for transparency. There's a template at WP:DISCLOSE if you want to use that. Managing a conflict of interest[edit]
Hello, YourDailyDOHs. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI).
