Etixx–Quick-Step team roster

Hello, please look at what I wrote at Talk:Etixx–Quick-Step. it seems to me that you changed the team roster at the beginning of 2015, and it included one wrong name.Tushyk (talk) 14:00, 4 January 2016 (UTC)

infobox formatting

Please can you explain why you continue to re-format infoboxes (both as an account and as an IP) against standard formatting, as per Bevis Mugabi? GiantSnowman 07:02, 11 August 2016 (UTC)

Firstly the IP changes were definitely not made by myself, secondly I didn't realise it was against standard formatting to compress the details to make it easier to edit. The main point for my edit anyway was to add the details that you had removed such as his place of birth, height, shirt number at Yeovil and the fact that he was a professional at Southampton from 2013 until his transfer last week. Ytfc23 (talk) 09:18, 11 August 2016 (UTC)
As you originally included the details that have now been removed, can you re-insert them with a note of your source. Thanks. 77.130.196.20 (talk) 15:43, 11 August 2016 (UTC)

Can you help with references on some Yeovil FC articles

Hi, I've been trying to deal with some of the issues identified on the cleanup list for Somerset and, as you are the expert, wondered if you could help with adding some citations to some of the Yeovil Town F.C. related articles?

Yeovil Town F.C. has:

  • a banner saying it needs "needs additional citations for verification."
  • Citation needed for the "Honours" section

2003–04 Yeovil Town F.C. season has:

  • Citation needed for the kit & coaching staff

List of Yeovil Town F.C. seasons has:

  • No citations at all

Any help you could offer with any of these would be gratefully appreciated.— Rod talk 13:09, 13 September 2016 (UTC)

I will have a go at fixing some of the issues, although I don't have my Yeovil Town history book to hand at the moment, so might take a few weeks to try and sort all the citation issues particularly in the Yeovil seasons article. Out of interest do you no what "additional citations" that the banner on the main page is referring to? Ytfc23 (talk) 10:08, 16 September 2016 (UTC)
Thanks - that's great & no rush. On Yeovil Town F.C. there are a few uncited paragraphs, but I don't know specifically. The banner was added by User:Nelly GTFC so you could always ask them.— Rod talk 10:40, 16 September 2016 (UTC)
I've been having another go at the cleanup list & again thought of you as the best person to tackle some of these if you had the time (& found the book)?— Rod talk 18:53, 12 February 2017 (UTC)
I'm not sure how much time I have available but I have found my copy of the book and will have a go and improving the citations on the seasons article in particular. Also the book has now been scanned by the club and put up online [1] Ytfc23 (talk) 13:01, 27 February 2017 (UTC)

Invite to the African Destubathon

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:13, 6 October 2016 (UTC)

Tennis

I don't know if you'd happen to know, but I wanted to ask if there is a guideline in place for the order of listing qualifiers in yearly articles. For example, currently at 2017 Bangkok Challenger, another editor and I are disagreeing. He believes qualifiers should be listed in alphabetical order while I am listing them in qualifier order. Is there an actual correct way or does it really matter? And if you don't happen to know, is there anywhere I can go to find out? Thanks. Adamtt9 (talk) 14:37, 3 January 2017 (UTC)

I've no idea if there is a guideline or not, I typically list qualifiers in alphabetical order (although I notice they are in qualifying order on Grand Slam articles) but I have no real reason as to why I prefer that way. You can try asking on the project talk page someone might be able to give you a more useful answer. Ytfc23 (talk) 14:49, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
Ok thanks. Adamtt9 (talk) 14:51, 3 January 2017 (UTC)

Yasin Ben El-Mhanni

Hi there, thanks for your edits on Yasin Ben El-Mhanni. If I may ask, from where did you source the career stats for Farnborough and Lewes? Also, if he played in 2015 for Lewes already and only in 2016 for Farnborough shouldn't the clubs be switched in the table? Cheers, Liam E. Bekker (talk) 12:25, 22 January 2017 (UTC)

The 2016 thing for Farnborough was my mistake, I meant 2015. The Farnborough and Lewes stats are sourced from match reports of last season from each of their official websites. Ytfc23 (talk) 12:27, 22 January 2017 (UTC)

Season Articles

Hello, May I ask why you don't include pre-season matches? It is used in every other team's season articles so why not in Yeovil's? Thanks --Skyblueshaun (talk) 21:10, 23 May 2017 (UTC)

I was under the impression that friendlies are not notable and therefore not included, as per the project's MOS article Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Club seasons. Ytfc23 (talk) 08:41, 24 May 2017 (UTC)
I have just read through Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Football/Club_seasons#Suggested_Changes and it states in three separate areas that friendlies should be included "Friendly matches should be included if source-able." So I have re-done my edits that show friendlies. Please do not remove as I have used a reliable source. Thanks --Skyblueshaun (talk) 17:03, 25 May 2017 (UTC)

Jack Tector

Hi Ytfc23. I spotted this today - Cricinfo now has two profiles for this person ([3], [4]). I used the first one to create the T20 debut, but the other one has his List A stats and both profiles have very similar DOBs. Do you know if they are one and the same, or have CI created another duplicate? Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 17:27, 4 June 2017 (UTC)

I noticed that as well, my judgment is they are the same cricketer. According to both the squad announcements for Munster [5] and Leinster [6], Tector plays for YMCA and CA [7] only has him listed once, but I'm not sure which DOB is correct CA lists him as August, but his profile on the CricketIreland website [8] is September. As an aside I think Gareth Delaney may in fact be Gareth Delany but their seems to be inconsistencies in the spelling of his surname in press reports. Ytfc23 (talk) 17:39, 4 June 2017 (UTC)

Released players not included in outgoing players list

Hey, was just wondering what the rationale was behind not including released players in the outgoing players list for the 2018–19 Yeovil Town F.C. season article. It seems like a standard practice across other seasons pages. Domeditrix (talk) 08:54, 18 August 2018 (UTC)

I don't understand the rationale of the standard practice, it's commonly accepted that a season runs from the 1 July to 30 June. A player's contract ends on 30 June not the 1 July and therefore should be included in the previous season. Even if that wasn't the case it's by far the most logical, a released is produced at the end of a season in May not at the start of a new season. Ytfc23 (talk) 19:54, 18 August 2018 (UTC)
