Draft notes

Hi! I have some notes on your draft:

The citations need to be made in-line. You have sources, but it doesn't show what they're backing up.
This reads too much like a reflective essay. Avoid writing from the perspective of a single person. Make sure that what you're writing isn't subjective - by this I mean judgement statements like "it's important". You want to avoid putting in justifications such as "this is why you need to know this" or "this is why it's important". You also want to avoid some of the typical style formats of an essay, as they don't really match up with Wikipedia's style guidelines. For example, an introduction section on Wikipedia (referred to as the header) is written differently than how it is in an essay. Also keep in mind that if you're adding it to an article as opposed to creating a new one, (ie, if you're going to be adding it here) then you typically don't need to do an introduction or header.

Another way that they differ is original research. In essays we can draw our own conclusions, however on Wikipedia we can only summarize what has already been stated in the sourcing.

The subject of meat is very specific - I think that it would be better to look at the general history of Chinese cuisine during the Ming dynasty as opposed to just the meat dishes.
