You filled the article with copyrighted text from several sites. We are not allowed to add copyrighted information to Wikipedia because it puts the Wikimedia foundation in legal danger. I will revert your change but will add the sources you used to the links section of the article. I only copied from his company's site and a children education site, why would they go to court for this. Anyhowe atleast I made him look human! User:Mariah-Yulia.

The info at the company's web-site is copyrighted, sorry. Encyclopedia Britannica from which you copied some text too is extremely copyrighted and they would go to court. I am not sure what you mean my "children education site." VOA, from which you copied too is public domain so this is not a problem. What I suggest that you do, is add the sites to external links section in the end of the article. And either rephrase the copyrighted info sufficiently so that we don't violate anyone's right, or wait until others do it but remove it from the article.

Also, about cartoon, did you really draw it? I think it is taken from somewhere. We may be allowed to use it but to decide on it the source is necessary, so please provide it.

Finally, the Russo-Ukrainian issue of such figures have been discussed. Sikorsky's parents were not Russian from what we know, so he is an ethnic Ukrainian. Saying "both parents were Russians" is simply incorrect. On the other hand, we cannot call him a Ukrainian-American engineer because in his pre-American career spent in the Russian Empire, there was nothing specifically Ukrainian. He was from a russified family too, as explained at talk:Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation. Additionally, many references call him "Russian-American" for the very same reason (see the same talk). Some Ukrainian-born scientists are connected to Ukraine even despite they worked in the times of the Russian Empire. See Stephen Timoshenko for one example. Please consider my suggestions and correct the article.

Please don't get me wrong, I would not like you to get an impression that you are met here with any hostility. To the contrary, I would like to extend my sincerest welcome to a new editor interested in Ukrainian topics. Please hang around but please read and use talk pages there for a reason. OK, I apologise, I don't kow if his parents where Russians, but in my view if they where not (ore if 1 of them was not) he can't be a Russian-American if he is not Russian! I while rewrite later to stop the copietiright thingy. The cartoon must be atleast 50 years old, so it can't be worth going to court for! I'm not from Ukraine do, I'm from the netherlands. I started to have an intrest in Ukraine since "Maidan" and, strange enough, I became friends with a woman from Crimea, who sees herself as a Russian. So I'm not pro-Ukranian ore anti-Russian. By the way, that article about the gaswar in wikpedia is a joke, at first it didn't even mention how much Gazprom changed the prize (wasn't it 500% up?) and it made it look it was all Ukraine's fault! In the meanwhile, please add the sources you used to the Sikorsky's article "External links" section, add a source to the cartoon image you added and definetely remove the text you copied from Britannica or alter it significantly enough so that it won't be a copyright violation. Please see that your edits are understandable (Image:Neg03CR.jpg) and concerning http://www.juliafischer.com/ photos, in the page it says: The following photos are suitable for viewing, web use and printing. That doesn't mean that they are not COPYRIGHTED and if You've read the upload page notice: Most images on the internet are copyrighted and are not appropriate for uploading to Wikipedia. -- so not usable for the Wikipedia the free encyclopedia. Deletions[edit]

I fixed the images and you don't have to worry about them. Please read Be bold... but don't be reckless and avoid deleting pieces from the articles, especially on the controversial topics, that reached its current state though long negotiations and dicussions. Even drammatic edits for such articles is often a bad idea and should be done with caution. Please read talk page discussions and proceed. Thanks, I starting to say your piont's (I'm new to wikpedia, as you proberly new), While rewriting the "gas conflict" page somebody turned into a piece of pro-Ukrainian propaganda (althoug I still think it looked like a piece of anti-Ukrainian propaganda firts). Please don't forget to sign your entries at talk pages. It just takes less than a second to enter four tildes. I would like to thank you for understanding rather than take my comments in confrontational way. Don't bite the newbies is part of the WP guidelines and I in no way wanted to "bite" you.

You are being bold by diving staight into controversial topics and it is fine as long as you are receptive to others who disagree with you and agree to discuss things rather than persist with your versions when they meet some resistance.

Finally, please do a couple of things because it is really important:

point to a source of the cartoon you posted at Sikorsky's article (otherwise, someone is likely to list an unsourced image for deletion, we have many image deletionists who roam from image to image tagging them for deletion and they are a big pain in the neck)
List the sources you used to expand the Sikorsy article in the extrenal refs section

I have listed all the sources now (thank God for Google), as I remember it I only used 3 sources and the are all listed now, if I used anymore I cant remember it and I always "delete" the history of my internet surfing, before I turn my computer off. That's me again. Thanks. May I ask you to hang around a little longer before doing some wide-range changes. You added much to "see also" sections of many articles. I had to follow you to correct. Perhaps, you haven't realized that categories already group the realted articles together. "See also" section is not supposed to be a substitute for categories. As for your gas dispute edits, I simplt cannot follow what you have done and I will leave this for others to handle. I am glad that you are being bold, this is what WP calls for. However, please get some feel of how things work. Maybe, try to avoid drammatic edits for a short time until you get more used to Wikipedia. Many "contraversial" articles reached their form through long discussion and compromises. It is easy to make them a mess by stirring up the hornet nest. I will follow your advice (atleat for now, we Europeans can be quite stuburn), I lost my head a bit with the "see also", I won't make that mistake again, thanks for pointing that out for me.I think it was rude of CambridgeBayWeather to just delite my eforts. I did spent a lot of time on it (I don't even like helicopters that much(!)), thanks for restoring it. Anayway it was hardley conterversial. I think the Gas Dispute article is neutral now. (But that is ofcourse my point of view). It did make me less hosstile towards Gazzprom, I understand there point of view now better. Anyhowe, thanks again! Sorry about the blanket reversion of your edits. It was wrong of me and I shouldn't have done it. I was going through Recent Changes and revert several cases of vandalism and spam links. I saw the link with the "Fairbanks North Star Borough School District School Project written by "Adam", Adam, you did a god job; A+!" and just assumed you were either Adam or a friend of his trying to spam the article. I didn't spend enough time looking over the rest of the edits. Once again my apologies and don't let the actions of one idiot put you off from editing. Cheers. Hi, thanks for the article on Kreizberg. Someone had stupidly tagged it for speedy deletion, which I removed to started working on it until I realized it was copied for the most part from here [1]. Unfortunately, we can not accept material that is copied from other sites. Hello, I wass going to rewrite it when my (cable)modem broke down! I just had it fixed (we live in GMT +1 here), so I'm online again (yeeah!)! I know it is copied material right now and I'm planning to rewrite that / it (though I'm a bit short of time right now, so that might take a couple of day's). I hope you didn't loose mutch time on it, thanks eni-howe for your time. Great conductor by the way. I'm wondering how he was able to leave the Sovjet-Union do. Do you have any info on that. Mabey because he is Jewish? I had I autograph from him (and Julia Fischer last sunday (a signing-session at the concertgebouw (Amsterdam)) but didn't ask because I didn't want to come across as rude. I can tell you he still understands Russian, when I thanked him in Russian he replied in the same language. Atleast I think (for all I know) it might have been Polish! Thanks for the interesting message about meeting Kreizberg and Julia Fischer (great work on that article btw). According to a 1981 NY Times article Kreizberg is Jewish. The article was a long review of a Theater Opera Music Institute production of a Rimsky-Korsakov opera. The applicable parts of the article are as follows:

The music for the production is in the in the hands of 22-year old Yakov Kreizberg, who will preside at the piano...Mr. Kreizberg was born in Leningrad and was educated at the choir school founded there by Peter the Great...Mr. Kreizberg, who teaches at the Mannes College of Music and is in his first year as the institute's music director is part of the recent wave of Jewish emigration from the Soviet Union. He came to New York in 1976 with his mother. His father, a scientist, has been unable to join them.

Since you where unable to travel if you where a Soviet citizen (let alone imigrate to the US!) he had to be Jewish to be able to leave the sovjet union. So now my favorite conductor and actrice (Natalie Portman) are Jewish, nobody can accuse me of Anti-Semitism! I have exams till Tuesday, after that i'll start working on the Yakov Kreizberg article (I will use your info then). Small tip: I gave Julia Fischer a stuffed animal at the signing-session and she was verry happy with it! Why should only pop-stars get gifts from there fans while classical artist are often more talented? I did "adopt" the Julia-pages on wikipedia, she is my 2nd favorite violinist, my favorite is Hilary Hahn. I whill give her a stuffed animal too, but her schedule never brings her to Holland! I have noticed other classical music wikipedia articles that do the same thing, and I and others have tried to fix those as well. Hilary Hahn photo[edit]

Hi Mariah-Yulia. I saw that another user removed the photo you had posted to the Hilary Hahn article(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:20Hahn.jpg). You undid the change, then the user re-did it. I suppose I'm biased, but my preference is definitely to keep the photo with the article...I took the picture, and that is my wife and oldest daughter with Hilary! It was in Las Vegas 2004, and was immediately after Hilary had performed the Paganini concerto at the Las Vegas Music Festival. My daughter was about 7 months old and had sat quietly through the performance (although we kept in the very back of the auditorium in case we needed to make a hasty exit!). Hilary's expression, when she saw that a 7 month old had attended, was not, perhaps, the most delighted...but she certainly was very graceful about it!

I met Ms. Hahn again this year, this time in Chicago just after she had performed the Goldmark concerto, and we talked about the photo you'd posted. I supposed that you had gotten it from my personal website, and was certainly delighted when I saw it on the page! And yes, she did say that she remembered the occasion, although she had thought that the photo was one she had taken (I'm sure it was mine, though, as I have the original and others taken at the concert). I showed Ms. Hahn current pictures of my daughter (she will be 4 on Valentine's Day 2008) and my youngest daughter who was not even conceived at the time of the Las Vegas performance (she just turned 2 in October 2007) but who now seems to be the budding musician.

Again, I do hope that the photo stays with the article. It's great fun for me, that is for certain!
