Autonomous Republic of Crimea[edit]

Hi

Where is the current siege of the admistration? Also do you have sources for temporary capitals of oblasts under Russian occupation?--Panam2014 (talk) 10:51, 3 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

What I understand from the sources I read on Telegram Ukrainian cities now under Russian occupation are stilled ruled by the people elected in the 2020 Ukrainian local elections, but I have not seen WP:RS on this. As for the current status of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, I have no information on that. A lot is unclear now Panam2014. — Yulia Romero • Talk to me! 16:29, 8 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

More on the current situation in the Ukrainian cities now under Russian occupation is in this article by BBC news. — Yulia Romero • Talk to me! 12:24, 9 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A cup of tea for you![edit]

Hello Yulia. I hope you're keeping well in these troublesome times. A cup of tea always helps, I find. In any case, I wanted to ask if you had any information on the status of the Yuzivska gas field. The article is quite out of date, and given that it relates to Ukrainian energy security, I feel like if we can improve it, we should. I was able to find an article about Shell's pull-out in 2015, but nothing else... RGloucester 18:45, 9 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I did look, but could not find anything useful of information on this gas field RGloucester. I remember that shale gas was a popular topic of former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, but I did not hear anything about shale gas in Ukraine after Azarov moved to Moscow. — Yulia Romero • Talk to me! 15:56, 15 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Russian Flag of 1991/93[edit]

Hi

Did you know why Putin's United Russia and pro-Russians in Ukraine used in Donbas and Crimea the previous flag of Russia? --Panam2014 (talk) 12:49, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I am puzzled by many things these people are doing Panam2014; this flag thing seems to be one of them. As I understand the early 1990's are not a popular time in Russian history so them using the Russian Flag of 1991/93 makes no sense to me....... (I also never saw a WP:RS on this). — Yulia Romero • Talk to me! 15:59, 15 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Kryvyi Rih[edit]

Hi

Why the mayor have been replaced by Vilkul?--Panam2014 (talk) 21:26, 20 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Don't know Panam2014 if he was replaced on 27 February 2022... I think Kryvyi Rih has a mayor now and a head of the military administration. Anyhow the head of the military administration is the son of the mayor... — Yulia Romero • Talk to me! 13:54, 24 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yulia, how very nice of you to reach out with such a generous comment. Yes, I have enjoyed our collaboration--we seemed to have bounced off one another constructively. How I strayed from my first contribution to Wikipedia 3 years ago--a biography of the U.S. civil-rights activist Casey Hayden--into Dnipro I don't know. But happily it was a page on which you were still active. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavours, Manfred ManfredHugh (talk)

Thank you + 1960's U.S. civil-rights activists and Dnipro might not be that different since, the sources I dig up this week, shows that there was also some sort of civil-rights activism going on in Dnipro city in the 1960's (a bit too my surprise... I might have been too exposed to cliches about "Eastern Russian speaking Ukraine".... (even though I always saw Dnipro as a city in central Ukraine....)). — Yulia Romero • Talk to me! 19:49, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Dnipro[edit]

To clarify, "namesake" simply means having the same name, so the sentence did not necessarily mean it was named after her, but I suppose it could cause confusion. Regards. Mellk (talk) 21:49, 15 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
