A tag has been placed on PTLens, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- Casmith_789 (talk) 12:12, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

item 11 states that "an article that is blatant advertising should have inappropriate content as well". Can you point me to what is inappropriate in my initial entry? Yuv 13:26, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

Hello, Yuv, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} after the question on your talk page. Again, welcome!  Your edits are fine; when I saw the article for the first time I thought the article did not say anything useful. Please do not take this the wrong way; I encourage you to contribute more. I have removed my speedy deletion tag as you have done the "substantial rewrite" needed. Well done! -- Casmith_789 (talk) 13:31, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

PT Lens[edit]

Yes, by the looks of it the article was deleted through Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PTLens. I've just clicked the first of the links you gave me; I cannot see any personal attacks (correct me if I'm wrong, please). Through curtousy it may have been good for the user to warn you before deleting it but I have had one of my articles deleted recently as a 'hoax'; this article was requested and was certainly not. Wikipedia is for shorter articles as well. If you want to contest the deletion, then you can go to Wikipedia:Deletion Review and request it. -- Casmith_789 (talk) 15:43, 18 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. It may be wise to reply on my talk page, as I may not notice it on yours. I am not sure if you still do that, but some friendly advice! -- Casmith_789 (talk) 15:48, 18 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
