STOP harassing him AT ONCE. He has already left. Check the timestamps of those votes on the RFAs, please. – Chacor 04:54, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Do not place this template on any user talk pages if you are not an admin. This template is to be placed on those pages by blocking admins and not by other users, and the blocking admin may choose whether to use it or not - it is not required. --Coredesat 05:27, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Zero, you may be interested in {{Non-admin fwarn}}. Remember, however, to only use it on obvious vandals' talk pages and also that it should only be used once you have escalated from {{uw-test1}} to {{uw-test2}} up to the 3rd warning (uw-test3) and the fourth warning (uw-test4). Then, if the contributors vandalises again, report the contributor to WP:AIV. Best, Iamunknown 05:31, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Retirement notices[edit]

Please don't pretend to "retire" from Wikipedia when someone has a dispute with you - it doesn't make the dispute go away and is a show of bad faith. --Coredesat 21:07, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Windows Vista semi-protection tag[edit]

Hi, you recently replaced the semi-protection intormation box with a icon. However, I feel the box is better as is it more prominent and warns new user that they should not try to edit. Also, it is better for readers to note that the page may be subject to frequent vandalism, and as such be more careful. I think the larger version should be kept. --soum (0_o) 19:17, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Edit user page[edit]

I want a user almost same as yours. Keep the content the same but put the portal on my user page ok. Jet123 23:55, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think the violation of the username policy here is questionable. It would be better to post to WP:RFCN than to AIV. (usefulness of this accounts edits so far aside) --Auto(talk / contribs) 19:00, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry. Blame the auto formatter script that quite a lot of obsessive compulsive editors (like myself = P) use. You may want to tweak your signature to be compatible with it. --  Netsnipe  ►  19:05, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Message template request[edit]

Hello, I just noticed your recent post to the message template page. I was wondering if you might consider sponsoring a test4 message? I've noticed that some users do not like leaving a vandalism4 message for what is essentially a test type level vandalism. Sometimes they will even drop a vandal down to test3 level message because the level of vandalism does not equate to a level four vandalism message. Thanks, Ronbo76 18:17, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The images on your user/usertalk page (penguins + censored image)[edit]

Out of plain curiosity, did you know that your user and user talk page are violating WP:UP#Images_on_user_pages? --Spebi 02:57, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Which ones? tz (talk · contribs · autographs) 03:27:44, Sunday, April 15, 2007 (UTC)
The penguins from Madagascar, and the censored image behind the Wikipedia logo (hence the name "The images on your user/usertalk page (penguins + censored image"). I quote:

What can I not have on my user page? Please do not include non-free images (images uploaded to Wikipedia without the permission of the copyright owner, or under licenses that do not permit commercial use) on your user page or on any subpage thereof (this is official policy and the usual wide user page latitude does not apply, see Wikipedia:Fair use criteria for details). Non-free images found on a user page (including user talk pages) may be removed (preferably by replacing it with a link to the image) from that page without warning (and, if not used in a Wikipedia article, deleted entirely).

--Spebi 03:32, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Are you trying to make personal attacks on this user? 03:30, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
No, I am not trying to make a personal attack. I was browsing by your talk/user page and saw the images. In future, I advise you not to make false accusations of personal attacks. --Spebi 03:34, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Could you please alert the other users about using the Image:Uncyclopedia Featured.png? tz (talk · contribs · autographs) 03:36:21, Sunday, April 15, 2007 (UTC)
I apologise, I did not realise the image said "featured", and not "censored". But as for the penguin image, please explain? --Spebi 03:40, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

(restarting block) There is another user that is using the same penguin images as I am. tz (talk · contribs · autographs) 03:43:49, Sunday, April 15, 2007 (UTC)

Please stop trying to shift the blame on other uses. They too are using the image aswell as you are, but I am not in a position to enter more than one discussion such as this at a time. Tell me, what exactly is the penguin image ment to represent? --Spebi 03:47, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The penguin image is free. – Chacor 03:50, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
.... 03:52, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
Meaning, as it's licensed under GNU LGPL, you can use it on your userpage without problems. It's not a fair-use image. – Chacor 03:55, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This is not helpful Spebi. You were not assuming good faith to other editors. 68.111.92.229 04:02, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I apologise, I withdraw my comments. --Spebi 04:06, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This is unacceptable. Next time you make comments similar to those considered bad-faith, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. 68.111.92.229 04:15, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

IP: you CANNOT make such warnings. People are NOT blocked for "comments similar to those considered bad-faith". And ZERO, you've made such warnings before, so if (strong emphasis on "if") the IP is you, please don't do it again. – Chacor 09:04, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

dont feed the trolls[edit]

In the future, please dont feed the troll/vandals by adding there names to the defcon meter. You can mention there is a large number of sockpuppets, however please stop short of adding there name, this will just egg them on and cause them to not give up. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 14:36, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you spread there name everywhere, you just encourage them. I am asking as a courtesy to all of wikipedia that in the future, you do not provide specific sock puppet information in a tempalte as visible as teh defcon meter. I am sure you understand, thanks! -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 02:16, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Excuse me butting it, but I want to clarify that Chris is not suggesting you are trolling or insulting anyone. Many people (including me) believe that trolls do it for the attention, so giving them any attention - perhaps by posting their names on the defcon meter - ends up "feeding" the troll.--Kubigula (talk) 03:54, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
My apologies if there was a misunderstanding. I was in no way calling you a troll, or any other malicious name. I however was ateemtping to clarify my stance, as stated above by Kubigula, my stance that this disruptive editor is just disrupting for the attention. By giving him that attention, it just encourages. I actually know you were not trolling or engaging in any other disruptive behavior! THanks again for your hard work on this project. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 14:28, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reporting to WP:AIV[edit]

You recently added 2 users with innappropriate usernames but didn't leave a reason. Yes, they were obviously bad usernames so I blocked them, but notice on the header that it says ""Username is a clear violation of policy" is not sufficient." Please leave a reason (in this case inflammatory usernames) so even if it is blatantly obvious you set an example and assist new users in using the noticeboard. Thanks, James086Talk | Email 04:15, 28 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Template changes[edit]

I've reverted a few of your changes to templates that are in high use- I think these should be discussed first. {{done}} and {{not done}} are in use in many areas and are pretty distinctive. They stand out especially on his noise pages as their bright and unlike other icons. As to your change to {{can be usurped}}, I would see this more as a series of ticks on a checklist but again, I think discussion is needed. {{CUU}} is being discussed at WP:CHU/U if you wish to bring up your concern there. WjBscribe 03:41, 28 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted two others. Please see the edit summaries of each for why. I left Template:No message the way you put it, because in this case, you're right, an X shouldn't be put since it can be fixed. --TeckWiz is now R ParlateContribs@(Let's go Yankees!) 19:33, 28 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Z.E.R.O is shall say this more strongly this time- templates used in the rename and usurpation process should not be edited at your whims. I have reverted you changes to {{Usurp}} and {{Renameuser}}. Again, please seek consensus before making changes... WjBscribe 22:40, 28 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I'm now pretty annoyed. Your need to change things without discussing them first means that you miss possible consequences of your changes. This edit [1] is probably sensible, but I guess you forgot that a Bot archives the page, and that Bots get pretty confused if the layout of pages they archive changes dramatically. The result was this [2], where the Bot duplicated the entire page. Please stop. WjBscribe 22:56, 28 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Usernames and judgment[edit]

A number of usernames you've reported to AIV or WP:RFCN lately have been fine and the concerns have been roundly dismissed. Please reconsider submitting inappropriate usernames unless you can confidently do so properly. Violations should be absolutely crystal clear, with no doubt about their propriety. If you can't accurately judge this quality of a name, then there are many other areas of the project that might be better suited for your abilities.
