Moving pages to mainspace[edit]

Hi there. Could I please suggest that you do not, at this point, concern yourself with moving other peoples' drafts to mainspace? Determining whether an article is ready for publication requires a fair amount of overview and is therefore best handled by experienced users (specifically those who have permissions for Articles For Creation handling. E.g., PrsA (Parvulin-like peptidyl-prolyl isomerase) should not really have been moved until the author or the reviewer had sorted out the screwed-up referencing. I suggest doing normal edits to improve articles for quite a while before involving yourself in backstage areas such as this. Cheers! --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 14:50, 26 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I moved the draft to the mainspace at the request of the author, who is also a student of mine. As a scientist, I appreciate constructive criticism. However, criticism without context is not helpful and potentially insulting, and it is certainly not constructive. ZDISK (talk) 13:20, 31 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The immediate context is that the article should have been sujected to a number of technical fixes before being moved, hence my comment. The larger context, which I assume was misapplied based on your response, is that new editors jumping into admin-type tasks before they are aware of all the niceties is a frequent issue here, and it has been found that a timely note saves much headache later on. If you don't intend to make a habit out of moving drafts (which not a few people decide to do) then this of course needn't concern you :) As for insults, none was meant; I'm also a scientist and a teacher, and I was gently advised to go slow when I started here 5 years ago. Happy editing! --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 14:03, 31 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
