Climate on the Table Rocks

Hi Zab, I have a little bit of information about the climate of the Table Rocks in my sandbox. I'm wondering where exactly it should go in the article. I don't think there's enough right now to warrant a new section. Any suggestions? Thanks, LITTLEMOUNTAIN5 21:34, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

I have seen climate paired with Geography and Geology before, as in "Geology and Climate" for this article which should be ok. The history about when the trails were built is nice too. On the lower accessible trail (you have it as "Bench Trail" I think) there is a well hidden entrance to an old abandoned main trail. Is this the one built in the 1980s? The old one still has very warn down trail markers on it and in the scree piles there is a cave large enough to crawl into. Something else worth looking at maybe. I have only found one of the caves on upper myself. ZabMilenko 01:33, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
The 'Geology and Climate' sounds good. As for the trails, I know that Bench Trail is on Lower, and branches off the main trail. I don't when Bench Trail was built (is built the right word?). The caves are on Upper, unless there are some on Lower I don't know about. I don't know when the caves trail was built, either, only the Upper main trail. Thanks, LITTLEMOUNTAIN5 01:45, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
If we are talking about the same trail, then "Bench Trail" was built in 2005 and is the one talked about in the second paragraph of the Trails section (as an interpretive trail). There is indeed a good amount of benches along the trail and it does split off shortly after the main trail starts (to the north as you have it in your sandbox). I'll work on the article in a few hours to give you some time; I found some more info about the VOR. ZabMilenko 02:20, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
Side note, its accessible so I don't see it being harder .. maybe it does refer to the abandoned section. That would be some good news indeed since I have been looking for history on that one for awhile now. ZabMilenko 02:22, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
Sorry to make you wait, the thunderstorm last night knocked out power for about two hours. Nice info on the VOR building! About the Bench Trail, I don't know really what the book is talking about, becuase it was published in 1994, so we couldn't be talking about the same trail. By harder I think it means steeper, longer, etc. It may very well be the abandoned section... I'm just not sure. LITTLEMOUNTAIN5 20:45, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
As for the Youth Conservation Corps, that's probably right. Thanks, LITTLEMOUNTAIN5 20:49, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
  • Alright, climate looks good. I think the four distinct areas should get an earlier mention somehow, possibly the climate can lead into it. I'll play with that and Trails during my focused editing time tonight. ZabMilenko 00:25, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
Once those sections are polished up I'll seek reassessment and we can go from there. ZabMilenko 00:30, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
Cool, sounds good! I've got your talk page on my watchlist, so you don't have to give me talkback templates, that is, unless you want to... :) LITTLEMOUNTAIN5 00:37, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Blah blah blah, Oregon COTW

Hello to members of the WikiProject o' Oregon. Once again it is time for the Collaboration Of The Week. A thank you to everyone who participated in the Semi-annual Great Oregon Picture Drive, we added a lot of pictures. For this edition we have by request Mr. Maurice Lucas of the Blazers, and a maintenance type project with the Dab Patrol. For the later, pick any Oregon disambiguation page (mainly common city names) and use the "What links here" feature to find any stray incoming links and direct them to the correct article. Again, click here to opt out of these messages, or click here to make a suggestion for a future COTW. Peace out! Aboutmovies (talk) 07:23, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of SMX (computer language)

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article SMX (computer language), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

No sources given to establish notability.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Cybercobra (talk) 09:10, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

Man is that a crappy little article. I removed the speedy tag/hangon as there is importance asserted. Notability is not (plus there are many other problems) so I have tagged the hell out of it. Hopefully the creator will leave those in place until they address the issues. If not, I see an AfD in the near future. Aboutmovies (talk) 07:03, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Amontarista Plana (the band)

While I agree that T'Shael (talk · contribs) may have used the wrong CSD tag on this article, you commented that you could see no obvious copyvio. Within one minute of clicking on the Myspace link they kindly added to the article for my convenience, I found it to be an exact copy and paste of the English version of their biography contained therein. Considering that, the CSD tag could have been changed to G12, with a bit of shameless G11 to boot. Otherwise, I somewhat agree with some of the sentiments about tagging within one minute of creation – but not in this case. Just thought you'd like to know. Keep up the good work. – B.hoteptalk19:07, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Yeah that miss is gonna bug me for awhile just because of how obvious it should have been. Thanks for catching it, and I shall endeavor to be more thorough. ZabMilenkoHow am I driving? 19:26, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
Please don't lose any sleep over it. :D T'Shael, if anything, should have tagged it G12 in the first place (naughty Vulcan[species?]). After nearly three years of chasing down promotional articles, you get a sixth sense about these things as soon as you see them. And the first place you go is the band/company/person's website. You just know they haven't made it up on the fly. – B.hoteptalk19:36, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
Ok, I'll do my best not to. :-) I've only been chasing stuff down for a few weeks myself, so I got a ways to go before catching up to some of the real vets on the wiki. Someday! ZabMilenkoHow am I driving? 19:56, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
You're doing fine. I will be happy to look at your driving sometime. :) – B.hoteptalk20:02, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Kite Man Says beware of powerlines

Hello to those who participate in WikiProject Oregon. Once again it is time for the Collaboration Of The Week. A thank you to everyone who participated in the Dab Patrol and improvements to Maurice Lucas. For this week we have Oregon company FLIR Systems, and a maintenance type project with the FA Update Drive. For the later, pick any Oregon FA class article and read through it to make sure it is still up-to-date. Again, click here to opt out of these messages, or click here to make a suggestion for a future COTW. I like frogs. Aboutmovies (talk) 06:39, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

RE: Alleged vandalism

Hello Zab, if that is your real name. While I did edit The Lone Gunmen (TV series) I didn't vandalize the Zoklet page, frankly I don't even know what that is. Unless you can prove the vandalism was carried out by me, which you certainly cannot as I am innocent, you should apologize for your libelous statements. I will not stand for this sort of slander. --64.180.245.119 (talk) 01:53, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Please don't misquote me. The material I reverted was represented by this diff which was added by either you or someone sharing your IP. If you want to avoid these messages, please signup for an account. ZabMilenkoHow am I driving? 01:59, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
I didn't misquote you, I didn't quote you at all. Are there any quotes in my message that are attributed to you? There aren't any quotes at all! --64.180.245.119 (talk) 10:37, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
