Speedy deletion nomination of Zahidul islam[edit]

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Zahidul islam for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

Common vs. official spelling[edit]

Please stop changing Barisal to Barishal without discussion. A policy and guideline-based consensus was formed at Placename changes and Wikipedia policy to continue using "Barisal" within Wikipedia for the time being. If you wish to change that, you may seek a new consensus by starting a new discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Bangladesh. If you have evidence that the circumstances on which the original consensus was formed have changed, present it there. Continung to edit against consensus may result in loss of editing privileges. As you have been warned before, the correct spelling on Wikipedia is not necessarily the one dictated by the government of Bangladesh. Encyclopedia Britannica and Banglapedia: The National Encyclopedia of Bangladesh, among others, use "Barisal". Some day the WP:COMMONNAME may change, but it may take a long time.
