Hawaiian honeycreepers[edit]

Thanks for your edits to many of the bird species here on WP. The ʻIʻiwi article is much improved! I was wondering if you have any references for some of the additions you made. Especially some of the facts regarding population. Thanks again! --travisthurston+ 18:16, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Hawaiian O'o'.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Hawaiian O'o'.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 18:13, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Image:Marianas Island Megapode.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free image with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria.

If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the image can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the image is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the image. If the image has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Marianas Island Megapode.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Image copyright problem with Image:March.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:March.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. J Milburn (talk) 22:42, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Page moves[edit]

Please do not randomly move pages. Except in obvious cases (typo's and similar), page moves are always discussed on the talk page before done. Secondly, when a page is moved, you should clean up the page to match the new name. For example, the page you moved to Wahi Grosbeak was still being called the O'ahu Grosbeak throughout the article (secondly, I've wikified the page and removed the speculative info we have no way of knowing when dealing with a species only known from fossils - see WP:No original research). • Rabo³ • 00:24, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
