Contested deletion

This page should not be speedily deleted because... (your reason here) --Ziadnayyer (talk) 12:24, 4 July 2023 (UTC) I am not sure what or why my just created page was subject to deletion. I was just checking how someone could create his or her own page for the promotion of self Biography.

This is Wikipedia. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. It is not a free webhost. Wikipedia is not intended to promote anything, let alone yourself. I would expect an Assistant Professor to understand that. LinkedIn may be a better venue for selfpromotion. Kleuske (talk) 12:28, 4 July 2023 (UTC)

I just wished to learn how profile pages are created. With limited time I created one like the celebrities, famous people with their biography including early life, parents, siblings, education, contribution etc Ziadnayyer (talk) 12:42, 4 July 2023 (UTC)

• Wikipedia is not a web host for holding personal web pages unrelated to work on building the encyclopaedia. Also, any kind of editing to promote, publicise, or advertise anything is not permitted; that includes creating pages to promote oneself or one's career. You are, of course, welcome to make contributions to the encyclopaedia, in line with Wikipedia policies and guidelines, but if your purpose is to write a personal web page or to publish an online CV or résumé, then you would be better advised to use one of the many web sites which do provide that sort of service, such as a social network site, a web hosting service, or LinkedIn. You may also find it informative to read the guideline on autobiographies. Assuming that by "delete the user" you mean delete the user account, then no, there is no option to do that.
