More[edit]

It doesn't matter whether it's an article, bio or whatever, Huffington claim the copyright, you can't use it. I can see the deleted text, and I'm satisfied that most of it is taken from Huffington, the exact percentage is neither here nor there. I'm not going to restore, but I've pointed you to a page where you can try to get it restored. I'm not paid. Speedy deletion is an essential tool, although obviously it's possible to argue, as you have done, whether it's appropriate in individual cases Jimfbleak - talk to me? 20:18, 14 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest if there are any potential problems that you start the article in a sandbox or as a draft, where there is a bit more protection especially with regards to notability and referencing requirements. I can retrieve the references for you if you wish, although you should note my previous concerns about the quality of them. I agree that he is probably notable, and if you want to make a draft, I'm happy to comment.
I don't want to belabour the copyright thing, but one thing I forgot to mention is that the issue was initially picked up by an automatic bot, which is triggered by a sufficient level of similarity, so there is no personal agenda there, although I obviously checked what the bot had detected. I've made no accusations of bad faith because it's clear that you did not just copy entire texts from a single source, which is often the case. It's just that too much of the text was too similar to satisfy either the bot or me. Cheers Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:52, 15 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Zoinksjeepster. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
