Google Spreadsheet[edit]

Could you please give me some more information regarding Google Spreadsheet (you added it to the Google services template)? I've checked the link, and it does not work. Also, we should only put items that have been released on it - not future ones. Thanks a lot though! :) –- kungming·2 | (Talk·Contact) 01:53, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

I noticed that when you added Google Spreadsheets you also removed Google Suggest (maybe by accident). This is no dig at you, just to let you know in future edits, unless this was intentional (in which case you should have mentioned it in the summary) please be careful. Also with regards to Google Spreadsheets.gif, I have now added the copyright into the summary.

I suggest you have a quick skim over:

List of best-selling video game consoles[edit]

Hello there! The talk page is not part of the article namespace, and thus links to talk pages from article is not allowed. See this guideline. The information must be put in the article, or at worst a reference page. Thanks for understanding. -- ReyBrujo 19:01, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I noticed you have worked a lot to collect the information. In order to reference the console sales, the best you can do is to put the numbers with the reference after it, and add an approximate total. Yes, there will be a lot of hyperlinks to justify one number, and it is not really clear if all this is really necessary. In example, check the list of best-selling computer and video games. Some games are still selling in Japan, but we do not keep updating the information every week. As you said, adding every reference would make the article too long to justify a number that would be slightly off. As a last example, Game Boy SP according to Nintendo release reached 76,790,000 units. Your adjusted number is 78,268,205. That is a 2% difference. And considering Nintendo releases sales information every 3 months, it is not really worth the trouble. If you want to add the information anyways, feel free to add the numbers with a reference after it. I must point out that there is a very fine line between this and original research. -- ReyBrujo 20:45, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
