Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Little miss obsessive.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:Little miss obsessive.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 13:15, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on I Believed, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Very short article about non-notable song.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Victao lopes (talk) 00:31, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

TfD nomination of Template:Girlicious[edit]

Template:Girlicious has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for Deletion page. Thank you. — Eduemonitalk 21:18, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

May 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Britney's sixth studio album‎. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. TNX-Man 04:10, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of To Those Who Wait[edit]

A tag has been placed on To Those Who Wait, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Sceptre (talk) 23:53, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Come On Over.png)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Come On Over.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:20, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Do You Know (Jessica Simpson album)[edit]

I have nominated Do You Know (Jessica Simpson album), an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Do You Know (Jessica Simpson album). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. June 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Come on Over (Jessica Simpson song), did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. iTunes charts can not be used and they violate WP:CHARTS, if you think they should be used bring it up on Wikipedia talk:Record charts. Girlicious[edit]

Thanks for cleaning up the article and the release date. These people with no registered accounts keep changing the release date to July 1st, which did not happen at all. Xm2631 (talk) 00:47, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Update: I don't live in US. I live in Canada. It would be very strange if the album was released here before the US, since it was a US based reality show. Also, their label, Geffen Records, hasn't posted a release date for the album's US release date on the labels' official page. I guess that would mean that the album has been pushed back. I suspect that the US and Canadian release dates will be on the same day, which ever day is planned, but it's not confirmed yet. Just rumours, unfortunately. Will keep you posted and update article accordingly. Is there way to prevent non-wiki users from editing that page? It's really annoying that those IP accounts are changing it everyday. Fair use rationale for Image:Trueconfessions 621x275.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Trueconfessions 621x275.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Asher196 (talk) 04:51, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Do You Know (Jessica Simpson album) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article and put a note on the page's discussion page saying why this article should stay. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please use deletion review instead of continuing to recreate the page. Thank you. 86.1.249.35 (talk) 02:05, 9 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:ITunes live sessions .jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:ITunes live sessions .jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
