Widemarsh is an inner-city suburb[1] and ward of Hereford in Herefordshire, England. It is one of the sixteen wards of Hereford City Council. It is bounded by the suburbs of Bobblestock, Broomy Hill, Central, College, Greyfriars, Holmer, Racecourse and Whitecross. Cllr Polly Andrews currently represents the ward.[2] The population of the ward at the 2021 Census was recorded at 3,183.

Geography

Widemarsh is central to most of the wards of Hereford's city council. Some notable landmarks and attractions in the area include Blackfriars Priory[5], Hereford F.C.[6] and Heineken's factory.[7] The Great Western Way[8] (former railway line) passes through the centre of the area.[9]
