Summary:

[edit]

Stateofshock had repeated edited out reference to other sites outlining others concearns, admittedly some of these external links lead to flames, but that seems unavoidable in this particular case. However, due to the somewhat technical nature of the issues raised, the references I have quoted are the best source. I also made sure to qualify that not all the points raised in the references are valid. I have made sure to qualify the points raised with relevent links to pertinent content.

I believe I have been as unbiased as possible, but I would really like someone else to confirm or even deny this, hence the request here. If I am reassured I am being reasonable, I will move on to arbitration to further the dispute.

Discussion:

[edit]

Mark Berry has made several attempts to place "external links" from another site that is about skeptism regarding the video game, Lost Colony. The thread on the other site was closed because it was nothing but pure skeptism.

We feel that the main Wiki page for Lost Colony should be information about the video game, storyline, technical specs, etc. It should not be a political page or for a person to post their opinions about it. That's what the discussion page is for.

The track record so far on Mark Berry (and logs) show that his only participation at Wikipedia is to tarnish the Lost Colony page.

If you review the Lost_Colony page, you will see his continued edits. Yes, the page is neutral and delivers content about the video game, Lost Colony. Doesn't say the game is "good" or "bad", it only delivers content about the game. Any personal feelings or opinions, or "notes" should be kept on the discussion page. You can go to any other "game" related page and not see anything like this. No "notes" and not external forum links. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stateofshock (talkcontribs)

OMaHTLD Mark Berry. 0511GMT 5/1/07. Stateofshock, my only response is to point out your own track record of using Wikipedia, which covers a similar span as mine. However your track record has you placing adverts and editing otherwise valid points which speaks for itself.

This page is not for your use, or comments. I am seeking advice, as the subject of the page, and indeed the note which you could not fail to have seen above states, this is for my discussion with an advocate.

  • Note: The page at issue was nominated for deletion January 4, which may render the issues here moot, or widen them. I will ask the advocee how he/she wants to proceed. TheronJ 20:46, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
