The role description will make it clear that the steering committee role and the regional ambassador role are two separate roles and are not mutually exclusive
Although the regions are geographically odd, the workload division is logical and therefore preferable
Foundation oversight of the regional ambassadors
The foundation may have someone to coordinate the regional ambassadors
At the conclusion of a regional ambassador's term the foundation staff member will recommend either retaining or dismissing the regional ambassador. The steering committee will either accept or reject the staff member's recommendation.
The relationship between the steering committee/regional ambassador/staff will need to be clarified
