Wikipedia:Archive digger

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An archive digger is a user who goes through archives (mainly talk pages), to look for information about the history of a user, page, image, investigation, or blocked user or I.P. Archive diggers are usually users that act normally, possibly recent changes patrollers. They can also be hired by users who want to find out information on Wiki history, but is to lazy to find it alone. They are not to be accused as no-lives, as computers haven't taken over their life.

Reasons[edit]

Archive diggers can do what they do for multiple reasons:

  1. Somebody asks them to help
  2. Personal investigation
  3. Finding block history and edit history of a user
  4. An evil user who changes archives
