[edit]Michael Larson – (page view stats • edit • talk • history) - 214 daily hits
- This article, according to the tags, has some formatting issues and maybe there could be some bits of info that are being left out. There were also some unneeded and useless info that I had to remove from "the game" section. I'm hoping that this article can get to a GA or FA status. EditorE (talk) 02:06, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose. We should probably focus on stub, start, and C class articles for TAFI, and Larson doesn't seem that notable in the scheme of things. Revolution1221 (talk · email · contributions) 00:18, 18 April 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose. TAFI should focus on lower-class articles. Braden 12:13, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
- Comment I probably should have to have to say this. Yes, maybe it's better for the TAFI project to focus on article with lower-than-B classes, but there's still lot of things that can be improved here. There's also 2 news articles that have coverage on Michael Larson (a November 1994 article from the Los Angeles Times and another March 2003 one from the Associated Press), though I've haven't been able to read them. If anyone could find those sources, please try to use whether info from those sources you can use in the Wikipedia article and cite them. I've also added info from the Dayton Daily News article about Larson working at a local Wal-mart, so I wouldn't say Larson isn't notable to not have GA status. The Oprah Winfrey Show – (page view stats • edit • talk • history) - 1000 daily hits

Citation – (page view stats • edit • talk • history) - 2000 daily hits
I thought about Wikipedia in terms of who would be using it most, and what sorts of articles they commonly look up. I then thought about which of those articles would have been overlooked or otherwise not developed very well...perhaps due to being too obvious or too broad. I landed on the article on "citation", a common area of confusion and annoyance for high school and university students, and low and behold, the article is a listy mess. We have the tools to turn this into a comprehensive, easily navigatable work to make this convoluted concept more approachable to all. I say we go for it. :)--Coin945 (talk) 15:22, 21 April 2013 (UTC)

Manhattan Transfer (novel) – (page view stats • edit • talk • history) - 70 daily hits
An extremely important and influential novel back in its day, yet widely forgotten about today. A Great Gatsby-esque work, "it focuses on the development of urban life in New York City from the Gilded Age to the Jazz Age as told through a series of overlapping individual stories." It's written by prolific novelist John Dos Passos, whose almost exclusively redlinked template is rather depressing. We can do better. --Coin945 (talk) 14:35, 12 May 2013 (UTC)

Commercial area – (page view stats • edit • talk • history)
User:Torvik today posted: "This is a very, very bad/inaccurate/poorly sourced/amateur/outdated article from the point of view of a modern urban planner. I will try and edit it if I have time, but I am very busy and just wanted others to know it's outdated and borderline against modern planning practice. I don't think there's a Wikipedia "tag" thing for that... For starters, compare this article to the one for mixed-use development. Also: Where did the 5% thing come from?? And why is that the first sentence?? "This type of property falls somewhere between residential and industrial property." What does that mean??? Ridiculous. Oh man, this article needs attention. Wow. Again, I'll try myself if I have time, but just wanted to make it known!". He/she has a point... BTW to most users this is probably pertinent to the game Sim City, where land is divided up into Commercial areas, Residential areas, and Industrial areas.--Coin945 (talk) 02:56, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
