I would like to know how these policies can be enforced. I like the sound of that "should be immidiately removed".

When the section has been deleted, the Jonawiki has always reverted to re-add the section. He claims the section is properly attributed, but only blog comments and forum posts are used as referenced. I understand that the section is about me, so I should not edit or revert it myself. But the other editors seem to have dropped it, even as they continue to argue over what other improperly sourced and speculative edits should remain or go.

Summary:

[edit]

User JonaWiki has added a section to the Star Wars Galaxies page, about me. First, I dispute the accuracy of the statement itself. I feel the user is speculating, posting conjectured conclusions, and even the quotes are taken out of context from several sources, rearranged, and patched-together in order to provide support for his point of view. I'm simply not important enough to have ever been quoted, or described in a reliable source. But he wants to include me based on his misinterpretation of a blog post and web forum postings by me or about me. Looking at his talk page, it seems this is normal behavior for him here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Jonawiki

This is what it says:

Former developer repudiates NGE Just as the NGE was about to launch, Star Wars Galaxies game designer Jeff Freeman, who played a limited role in the development of the NGE, took the initiative to provide an enthusiastic public endorsement of it on his personal blog but then retracted his posting as public outrage over the game changes erupted.[38][39][40] After leaving Sony Online Entertainment to work at MMORPG start-up Spacetime Studios[41], he posted on MMORPG.com that the NGE being successful "wasn't even really a close call", admitted that he was not "blameless" for the "mess I (and others... with supervision) made", agreed that he "made some poor choices and did some poor work" and criticized the behavior of Sony Online Entertainment in giving so little advanced notice of the NGE as "shitty".[42]

None of the references to support this section are reliable sources:

Note: While I was typing this, Magonaritus argued the point that it should be deleted, Roguegeek agreed and made the deletion. But I'm thinking Jonawiki will un-delete it shortly.

Please disregard, the issue has resolved itself. Magically! Jeff Freeman 18:19, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry that we couldn't get you an advocate - I've now closed the case. Martinp23 20:59, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
