- Although I support the existance and improvement of the NBL project and am a member the entire project is to large to be the collaboration of the fortnight. The collaboration should be a single article such as previous ones eg Rabbit-proof fence. Hossens27 12:23, 18 April 2006 (UTC) .
- I tend to feel that articles that are covered by specific WikiProjects don't really need the wider input; they are likely to be scoured over sooner or later. pfctdayelise (translate?) 01:01, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
- Pfctdayelise makes a good point. Generally speaking, a wikiproject will have garnered sufficient resources/interested parties to edit articles. Perhaps such articles could make their way here when that has not proven to be the case - although if those involved in the project don't have the knowledge/motivation, who else is likely to put up their hand? ρ¡ρρµ δ→θ∑ - (waarom? jus'b'coz!) 02:21, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
- Not appropriate for a collaboration as it need only be a list. Harro5 23:53, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
- The main reason why I put this up for nomination is to improve the pages on the stadiums. The Distinctive Homes Dome page is a good example. I made the list to make it easier to know what the stadiums are. Jasrocks 10:54, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
I withdraw my nomanation for this article for ACOTW. see notice board for my reasons. if someone else would like to re-nomanate it feel free to do so, just remove the strikethru. The bellman 14:44, 1 Oct 2004 (UTC)
No article currently exists. Not quite Australian, but certainly closely related and the story is fascinating, and since others are currently working on a WWII wikireader we could help give this wikireader a wider view than just the war according to england and the US. And anyway, fuzzy-wuzzy is just such a damn fine sounding name.
Aparently fuzzy-wuzzy is also a song, however i doubt this will cause disambiguation problems:
Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear.
Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair.
Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn't fuzzy,
Wuzzy? The bellman 13:01, 1 Oct 2004 (UTC)
The bellman 07:59, 1 Oct 2004 (UTC)- It occurs to be that Fuzzy Wuzzy may not be just a reference the Aussie's gave to PNG natives on the Kokoda trail. - Ta bu shi da yu 08:07, 1 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Support: This was previously recently listed: see Trugo nomination declined due to lack of votes. This is a quintessential Australian (Melbourne) sport and also a quintessential 'working class' sport which, imo, deserves a detailed article. I am renominating this primarily because I would have voted for this article previously if I wasn't on a wikiholiday, which would have left the nomination on this list for another fortnight; I wanted to give it another chance. (By the way, if you haven't played Trugo, I heartily recommend it.) Colonel Tom 13:53, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

- The article, although lengthy is in poor shape, with many unverified POV statements, eg, The "Australian diaspora, refers to the 850,000 Australian citizens who today live outside Australia. This phenomenon is relatively new in Australia's history, estimated as having occurred over the last 40 years. Awareness of this demographic (almost 5% of the Australian population) is growing and supported by government initiatives."?!? Australians have been travelling "home" to England since European settlement first began, and presumably could have been included as an Australian diaspora if someone thought fit. What Government polices could be said to support a diaspora. ... There is a lot of good demographic data about, it just needs to be organised.--A Y Arktos 00:36, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

- My memory of being addressed as "mate" while growing up (and well into my young adult years) was that it was inevitably followed up by some sort of tirade like: "what do you think you're up to you greasy wog"; or "you're in Australia now mate", to which I rarely had an adequate response, although to the latter I guess I could have said something like: "I've never been anywhere else - your point is?" - but the word "anywhere" has three syllables, and they may have struggled to follow - according themselves far too much in the way of self-professed superiority than the basic facts would bear out - and I guess that is at the heart of my concern with discussing "mateship" as some sort of ultra-Australian concept/attribute. ρ¡ρρµ δ→θ∑ - (waarom? jus'b'coz!) 09:28, 12 February 2006 (UTC)

- An article that, till a couple of days ago, didn't exist. At the moment it is simply a listing of players that appear in the Hall of Fame, but apart from the expansion of players on that page as part of WikiProject AFL, we need to include other information. Information on such things as the AFL Hall of Fame and Sensation at QV, awards ceremonies and the like. If this isn't seen to be collab-worthy there are other articles on AFL I should bring out.

- Possibly Australia's worst railway disaster with loads of information available around the net. I'm not positive this is the most common name for it, though.#Shermozle14:47, Nov 20, 2004 (UTC)

- Project to refactor terminology referring to Aboriginal Australia. We have Category:Australian Aboriginal artists, Australian Aborigines, Australian Aboriginal artists, Australian Aboriginal communities, Aboriginal mythology. Is Australian Aborigine, and certainly just Aborigine, pejorative? I was under the impression that Aboriginal Australian was the preferred term.
- Topic does not exist? (see above). Perhaps a general Culture of Indigenous Australians to cover language, art, music, science and spirituality; also History of Indigenous Australians/History of Australia before European settlement--ZayZayEM 02:33, 18 Dec 2004 (UTC)
