  • User pages: special subpage for badges?
  • Badge pages: display all available badges (unless they're hidden) organized by badge area
  • Teahouse guest or host intros: display 5? badges with most recent first. Do users copy/paste their own badges?

What makes a "good" badge[edit]

  • It is applicable to the work of the community
  • Is attainable for some subset of the community
  • Evidence for the work done to achieve the badge is attainable

What makes a "good" badge collection[edit]

A badge collection is the sum total of all the badges available to be earned. Although it's hard to say what a "good" collection is versus a "bad" one, generally speaking a badge collection should:

  • Contain badges that are applicable to the work of the community
  • Contain badges that are attainable by at least someone in the community
  • Contain badges that are relevant to new users and experienced users
  • Contain different types of badges award different types of behaviors and identities
  • Be visible and discoverable to badge participants looking to earn a badge (though not all badges need to be displayed).
