CCCCWI Wikipedia as Public Scholarship Workshop
- Please join us online for our Wikipedia as Public Scholarship on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 3:00PM-4:30PM ET. This introductory workshop will cover editing basics—addressing some of the specific concerns experts face on Wikipedia—and discuss how scholars can use their expertise to advance knowledge equity online. Topics include navigating privacy issues, concerns around conflict of interest, and getting started with articles that need a lot of work.
- Participants are encouraged to identify an article to work on and register on the event dashboard in advance. We aim to have you editing by the end of the workshop. All comp/rhet scholars are welcome no matter their level of experience with Wikipedia.
- This event is limited to 10 participants. The workshop will be hosted on Zoom by Savannah Cragin, the CCCC Wikipedian-in-Residence. This event is sponsored by the CCCC Wikipedia Initiative with funding from the Wikimedia Foundation.
