Allow storing of viewed pages[edit]

  • Problem: It is easy to forget which interesting articles you have visited recently
  • Proposed solution: Store a private list of recently viewed pages for users
  • Who would benefit: Everyone, opt-in of course though
  • Category:Watchlists and Talk Pages
  • More comments: This was rejected by the WMF legal team on privacy concerns (can't find the link right now). But if it was opt-in and users accepted the risk would that be ok? At the moment the Watchlist is also a privacy concern. An example of use would be if you visited a fascinating shipwreck article last week and since then you bought a shipwreck book. You want to go back and add sources but you can't reember which article it was. Searching recently viewed articles would help.
